What retiring in colors BESIDES Cool Caribbean can you not do without?
I am spending WAY too much and need to pare down my order. I have Cool Caribbean *everything* but as for the other retiring in colors, which two are must haves that I should get inks and paper of? tia
I liked true thyme. I am SO bummed that caribbean is going bye-bye :( !! I wish SU would just add another color family and be done with it! It seems as though caribbean was the most popular but then I'm not in the SU office to know which colors are selling like hot cakes and which are not. Just seems to be a bummer to lose such a well loved color.

True Thyme - it's the perfect "not-quite-green and not-quite-brown" for so many cards. I also love Buckaroo Blue. Vintage Violet is so pretty, I just love to look at it. It's such a lovely colour in between blue and purple. I know I'm going to love the new colours too when I start playing with them and seeing the different possibilities.
Does anyone know how much the price will go up on the ink? I know some prices will be increasing.
Jenn,
the inkpads will be $5.50 (up from 4.95) and the refills will be going from 2.50 to 2.75 --not a lot if you buy here and there.....so if you want them all now, buy the sets to get them $12 cheaper! (actually will save more if you buy the sets rather than individual re-oinkers)

I use Vintage Violet, Marigold Morning, and True Thyme the most. And nothing else does quite what they do, KWIM??

I just don't know if I can make a card without Buckaroo Blue! I've stocked up on paper and a refill so hopefully, I will blissfully be making Buckaroo Blue cards for awhile. I also love Cranberry Crisp. I think it is the perfect red shade for Christmas.
Caribbean, Marigold and Voilet for me, my sister picked those colors (independent of me) too! Didn't know until I took her order we were thinking the same thing!

I stocked up on all of them, but Marigold Morning is by far my favorite. Did you guys notice that Going Grey (another of my favorites) is retiring, too? GASP!! Not much time to "stock up" on that one!
As for In Colors, my second favorite would have to be Vintage Violet, or maybe Buckaroo Blue. Not exactly sure. I love them all. True Thyme is just such a great shade of non-glaring green! What else comes close? Cranberry Crisp is a great red, but again, not a glaring red.
Of the new In Colors I've seen, I love Groovy Guava and Bayou Blue. I actually liked the Purely Pomegranate much better than I thought, but the sky blue color is too light, but the river rock might grow on me (like buckaroo blue did this year). Aw, who am I kidding? I'll probably fall in love with all of them! I'm sad about the retiring colors.
Vintage violet has been sort of my basic black or khaki this year--I know it sounds odd to say that I think of it as a 'go with everything neutral' (ok, it doesn't go with everything, but it does with a lot of colors I use).
I also stocked up on true thyme and marigold morning. The marigold is so happy and summery, and the thyme is beautiful with nature stamps.
I'm also discovering that thyme looks great with vanilla and river rock, and I really like marigold with guava. Glad I stocked up on the caribbean--it's perfect in between the bayou and soft sky blues.

I stocked up on Caribbean and Marigold. I LOVE marigold and have been making tons of cards with it. It goes so well with a lot of the colors, especially Rose Red.
I just bought my first two(guess last) packs of Marigold Morning after admiring all the cards where it was used.
I started buying mine late, too. I have 4 packs of card stock so hopefully that will last a while. I don't use it for full cards, just card fronts which I mount on white cs.
I only purchased Cool Caribbean from the '07 In Colors because it was the only one I thought was *different* enough that I wouldn't be able to adequately substitute for it. It was also the only one I really, really liked so it's the only one I will really, really miss!!
