Question What NEW embossing folder designs would you like to see?

Someone has probably already mentioned this before but I would love to have some different embossing folders. Maybe it's just me, but some folders are looking a bit similar and I would to have some different designs such as:

Small pencils or apples (great for Teacher thank-you cards)
Small cat and dog pawprints, small dog bones
Banners or Pennants (they are so popular at the moment and I LOVE them!!)
Small kites - we have butterflies but I REALLY want kites!!
Small 3-dimensional A, B & C baby blocks stacked & repeated all over - great for baby cards
Little dinosaurs, robots, cars and trucks
Little buttons (I know there is the CB border folder with buttons but would love a BIG folder)
A single birthday candle repeated - you could use this for any age group
Small fish
Small men's ties
Fairy wands
Mobile phones
More script folders - there are already some out there in several brands, but would love more variety for different occasions such as Father's Day, Wedding, Engagement, Anniversary, Easter etc. - and in both horizontal and vertical format.

I make alot of kid's cards so more designs that are suitable to that age group would be so nice and would complement my stamp stash.

There are so many new brands of ef's out these days that surely someone will want to fill this big gap in the market (well, I hope so!!).

So, what do you think? What would you like to see?

You have some really great ideas! I would like more that have blank or framed blank areas. I can make them but it would be much more convenient if they came that way.

Quickutz actually makes a very nice apple folder.

As for me, I'd like to see a nice woodgrain folder. I don't care for the Tim Holtz version (too rustic/knotty) or the PTI plate (prefer a folder).

I would like to see more basic design embossing folders in larger sizes, for an A7 card for example. I love texture, but hardly ever use EF's because the cards I usually make are 5 x 7 or 5" & 6" square.

Make this 3 votes for larger EF. I have not bought an EF in nearly a year they are all too small for me .

Ok here goes for me:

Another vote for larger folders.
More small repeated pattern designs.
Designs like those on pre-embossed paper sold by the sheet
Plaid design
More designs that look like turn of the century tin tiles
More flourish and damask
Ooh and how about one that mimicks wainscoting?

Also, how about no flat edges to the folders? I vote for embossing up to the edge so that you can emboss a larger area and meet up the design without worrying about the edge flattening your previously embossed areas.

All great ideas ladies. I will have to check out the Quickutz apple folder - didn't know they had one. Ta for the info

There is a plaid folder in the Cuttlebug Winter Wonderland set of 6 and it is a 5" x 7" folder (the larger size to the regular one).

I would also love larger folders. I do have a 5" x 5" square dots folder - that is the only square folder that I know of. I often make 6" x 6" cards and would dearly love to have a larger size ef to fit that size card.

I am SO with those who want larger folders. And, I agree, they sometimes do look alike. It makes it easy to pass up folders when you think they look too much like the ones you already own.

That said, I love the folders that only emboss a partial image, like a corner, or a design that starts off bold and fades - asymmetrical as it were. I find myself gravitating to the folders coming out of Europe; they seem to have more variety these days.

Would love to see one with a harlequin/diamond pattern - don't know if there is one out there already.
I too would love to see larger folders - even for 12" paper that would fit in my Big shot pro. And I love the folders that have only partial embossing, like on one corner.

Yes please to larger size folders! I make metric sized cards (A6), so the standard folders are too small. I wish there were some frame type designs to fit A6 size cards.

Oh yes - these would be wonderful! I would love to have little bunny rabbits and you could use them for baby cards or Easter.

Yes to more A6 designs or at least bigger folders so they are universal. I hate buying A2 sized ones that are just too small for our A6 sized cards.

That being said, I do have a few A6 sized ones from Sizzix and Docrafts. And of course the 5x7 work well.

There is a really nice woodgrain one from Craft Concepts. I definitely have that one in my stash.

And yes to more kids designs - fairies, robots, dinosaurs, zoo animals etc. There are only so many flourishes and flowers one can use.

JoBear- I love your ideas. I would be all over a dinosaur embossing folder. That was my favorite one you listed.

I would love anything fantasy themed.

I would love horses, flamingo, Eiffel Tower, Kawaii, Russian Nesting Dolls, Vampire type themes that are not so Twilight. (Disclaimer nothing against Twilight I am Team Jacob.)

A Hello Kitty embossing folder would be a must for me. That goes right up there with dinosaurs.
