I prefer coloring with my Copics but I can't always use them, like if I'm not layering. In that case, I really like SU markers the best, with Tombow a close 2nd.
I only have the SU! ones and I don't have plans to buy into the copic craze! I would rather spend that money on more stamps and paper, lol! I've seen some beautiful coloring with the other types of markers but I think with a little practice, the SU! markers work just as well!
I have Prismacolors because I got them cheap and wanted to try out alcohol markers before I invested in Copics (because I'm an all in type of girl and I would've spent $300 on Copics just to figure out I didn't like working with them).
I plan to get the SU ones also in April or May since they match the paper and have different uses than the alcohol ones.

I voted "Other" as I use the SU markers. I tried the Prismacolor markers and liked the results but I found that I prefer to do watercoloring with the SU markers or use Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

Copics are amazing. They're expensive, but totally worth it. I got mine from www.merriartist.com They have a good deal- $4.46 for the sketches (the kind I prefer) and free shipping for anything over $70.
SU!--I have a few Copics, but haven't put much time into mastering them, so I use Julie B's ( http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_...ics-no-pr.html ) No Copics no problem tutorial for a similar effect. Okay, so I don't have her talent, but it's good clean fun!
I personally use the SU markers and I like them. I like the fact that they coordinate with the paper, etc. I would LOVE to try the Copics, but they are very expensive and from what I hear, they do have a learning curve with them. So if money is a short (like it is for me, lol), I would not invest in the Copics until you at least tried a few out to make sure that you REALLY like them and that you can work with them. I'd hate to see anyone spend that kind of money only to find out that they are "not for them". I read on someone's blog ... maybe Joan B's ... that Copics do not make you a better colourer. It still takes lots of practice to become a good colourer. So, those are just some things to think about. Good luck with whatever choice you make! Maybe you would rather consider the Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I've just recently gotten into those and it isnt that hard to figure out how to do it, and actually have it look nice right away!
SU!. For me, I like the fact that all the colours coordinate, because that is an area I struggle with. Although I love colouring, I'm not good at the shading etc. For me, that makes the copics not a good choice (the price does have some part of that also). I will be buying the SU! watercolour wonder crayons because I have found that I like watercolouring and have a bit of an easier time achieving some shading.
Really, it is a personal preference - what works for you and what you enjoy.

I could only respond "other", as there was no option to vote on multiply.
I own Copics, Prismacolor Markers, SU! Dual Tipped Markers (water-based), Marvy Uchida LePlumes (water-based, but, I don't really like them), Sakura, American Crafts . . .
Every coloring medium serves a different purpose, even if you're only discussing markers, and provides different results. I like options, so I have invested in many different options, altho I should sell my Prismacolor Markers because it's rather pointless to have them AND Copics, since they are both alcohol markers and I prefer the Copic over the Prismacolor.
That said, I also own colored pencils, watercolor pencils, pastels/chalks . . . ;)

I have SU markers & Tombow markers. I enjoy watercolouring with markers and for that reason my first love is the Tombows. I like having both though, as I migrate to them for different things. You can't have too many things to colour with!

I have Tsukineko Impress duals and an Italian set of duals. They both work well for me, but I prefer watercolor crayons to markers for the softer look.
