I currently have nothing and really need to get something for cutting bigger circles. I've seen and heard of the Cutterbee system, and saw my SIL's Making Memories circle cutters this weekend.
What do you all use that is the best value for the money? Thanks!
For circles I use the Fiskar's hard plastic templates with a Glass Mat and Blade Runner. I am not crazy about the Fiskar's Shape Cutter cutting system, which is what the templates are designed for and what I had purchased as a new scrapper, but I used the Glass Mat and Blade Runner at a class a few years ago and fell IN LOVE with it.
Available at Michael's and Hobby Lobby, as well as many LSS. The Glass Mat and Blade Runner tool are made by EK success.

Do you have a Cuttlebug? I just bought (on sale at Hobby Lobby recently) a set that has dies to cut four different size circles. Looks cool and useful, but haven't tried it yet. I look forward to "nesting" them and having fun.
I have a Cuttlebug, coluzzle, and tons of punches. I was thinking of a good tool for making larger circles for scrap pages mainly. I tried the fiskars when I first started scrapping and didn't like it at all.
Sounds like there's not one (other than Fiskars) that gets bad reviews from you all, so I will probably try the MM cutting system or the Cutterbee. Just wanted some feedback. Thanks!
I really really like my Creative Memories cutting system! It has circle and oval and other templates. It has a guide to help you see what size circle and is very easy to use once you get used to it. I also use punches!
No Cuttlebug or anything fancy here, so I'm still using the Fiskars Shapecutter I got several years ago. And a whole heap of smaller punches for everything up to 1 1/2 inches. And when it doesn't matter if it has a little hole in the centre, I have a compass which has a blade instead of a pencil.
But in my dreams I'd have a CraftRobo / Wishblade.
I use the Tonic Shape-Mate system for large circles. It's very easy to use and you can get them in several shapes.
I have the oval set and it has 6 in the pack. They are made so you can cut on the inside of the shape or the outside, so your really getting 12. They also have non slip feet that helps to hold the shapes in place.
The other great thing is they come with a storage pouch so I won't loose them.
Their cutting tool is great as well it's just a little thing but easy to use as well. It also comes with a storage case.
I use my Cricut, my Cuttlebug, my Coluzzle and punches and I use them all quite regularly. It really depends on what I'm doing. If I have a lot that I need to cut, I'll usually use my Cricut because it's so fast. I'll use my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities if I'm cutting and embossing. I'll use my Coluzzle if I want a particular area on patterned paper cut out. And punches if I want a little circle punch. There are so many cutting systems out there. I think it all depends on what your preferences are.
Here is another vote for the Curvy cutter....just bought one this weekend and it works like a charm! I use my nesties for smaller circles, but to create those rings or larger circles this is the ticket!
I have a few punches but use the Coluzzle mostly. Mainly because I tried the CM one and couldn't do it and I like the cost of Coluzzle. Some people can't use it. Not sure why.
Another vote for the Coluzzle. I use it when I need to "see" where I am cutting. I also have punches in many and various shapes and one set of Nesties (trying hard to convince myself I don't need more - and failing!)
Me too. I settled on the CM after trying several other systems. (fiskars, coluzzle and some sort of weird template thing). It is easy to use and there are templates to line everything up before you even lay a blade down.
For really large circles I use things like soup cans, salad and dinner plates, cups and glasses. The price is right - and considering I hate to cook- at least the stuff in my kitchen gets used somehow! HAHAHA
Otherwise, I'm like everyone else on this thread - various punches, coluzzle, nestabilities, etc.
I tried the colozzle and fiskars and hated both. For small circles, I use my punches. I have from 1/16 to 3 inch in punches and they get used all the time. For larger circles, I use the creative memories circle cutter.
I like my Creative Memories system. The new rotating blades help me out since I'm starting to get arthritis. I also use punches for very small circles. I have never made a card that required circles bigger than this system. If you're only cutting circles then this system makes 18 different size circles.
I have been scrappin for years and thrown away my fiskars and colluzle... i hated them both, I am however, very happy with my Creative memories cutting system and punches, I just wish the 12" trimmer had a scoring blade!!
I think the Creative Memories Cutting system is the best. There are 3 circle templates, but also 3 different size blades, so you can make 6 different sizes with each template, 3 on the inside & 3 on the outside. You can also purchase other patterns such as ovals, wavy frames and gemstone patterns. All of the templates give you 6 different sizes, perfect for matting.
Depending on how large of a circle I need... I love the CM cutting system, it is my fav and I use it a lot! However, when I needed larger circles for the lids of paint cans, I couldn't get one large enough so I used a Coluzzle instead.
See, I'm always the odd one... I threw away the Creative Memories cutting system after ruining multiple photographs. I did keep the self-healing mat, though.

I am not a demo, but love their system, as it is compact enough to tote around also, and it also has a wavy line to purchase for card making and scrapbooking
