Default WHAT is the deal with Pink pirouette ink not matching??

I spent the day trying to make a welcome baby card for my Boss using Pink Pirouette. I stamped the two images, and then used the pink pirouette DP . I also used the PP card stock for the base. The inked colors DID not come CLOSE to the papers. I figured I had done a dumb thing and re-inked my Pink Pirouette somehow in pretty in pink (which matched stamped image to paper). I threw away my Pink pirouette inkpad and I'm waiting for my new one. I went to my sisters tonight and did a test on her Pink Pirouette stamp pad, just to see... and I got the same results! The ink does not match my cardstock or DP. Has anyone else gotten the same results??

I had this problem with another color. I will say SU was absolutely wonderful, but no matter how hard they tried, it was not a perfect match.

I reckon that SU! subtly went from using the word matching to the word co-ordinating which gets them out of items being the exact same colour.

My PP didn't match either, but as you said, it coordinates.

I've had the same problem and with some of the colors they are a "closer" match once they dry. My biggest peeve is my new Elegant Eggplant. It's almost black when wet but dries lighter.

I had the same no-match problem with Melon Mambo, which stamps as "absolutely red" for me. "Coordinate" doesn't even cover the lack of similarity between the ink and the cardstock.

My old Pink Pirouette DSP (that they used to have in some colors before they switched to the color families DSP packs) doesn't match the marker at all, it's really closer to Blushing Bride. Annoying when you expect better color matches.

That is exactly what I find with mine.

Don't get me wrong...I love SU and that is 98% of what I use. But I have had a few snags too. I have even had an entire pack of one color cardstock with 5 sheets that were a lighter version of that color; the inkpad problem; had an ENTIRE pack of cardstock that the grain didn't allow for anything but top folded cards or making mats out of every sheet. 90% of my cards are side folded cards so love the ease of turning the 8.5" x 11" cardstock sideways and making up a dozen card bases as once for an assembly-line stamping session. NOT in the habit to doublecheck the cardstock in my order for irregularities like that.
