Default What Cricut Cartridge do I need?

My DH wants to know what cartridges I want for Christmas and I really have no idea. I have George and the kid dress up one (I can't remember the name of it). I would like it for scrapbooking and card making. Any ideas?

mune5664.....I would suggest going to the Cricut website and go through each cartridge to view the images. You can page through each one to see a good view of the images. That would be best to make your decision as to which you would use. Only you can know what style images you will use.

I found the Cricut website very helpful to view the images rather than looking at the tiny ones on the back of the boxes. Many websites don't show the images on each cartridge, so it's very difficult to tell.

I agree with Patti!
I have several carts, some I use more than others-just depends on what I'm doing.

I would get storybook. It has all those lovely scalloped shapes so that you don't have to use punches!

I have fifteen or sixteen cartridges now (think Michael's sales $40 for whole carts in boxes & $30 for the solutions carts) and I just ordered two more solutions carts. I love my Cricut cartridges and use them on every single scrapbook page!!!

I use Base Camp a lot as a good basic font. I also found myself using Street Signs (a solutions cart) a lot recently, for both the basic clean font & the arrows. In terms of a font that is more stylized, I use Alphaliscious a lot and while I do not have it, Storybook is beautiful! My kids love Animal Kingdom and I've used it a few times on scrapbook pages. I also made a nice Christmas card with Joys of the Season recently (there's also nice flourishes on there that would be nice on scrapbook pages).

I agree with the other posters that you should spend some time on cricut.com to check them all out and see what you really like!

Have fun making your Christmas wish list!:>

Michaels will have the cartridges for $29.99 on Thanksgiving. I think it was 6p-9p. I have 28 cartridges now..Storybook and Home accents are my favorites right now.
Blessings

Default Recommendation ...

I would recommend Christmas Cheer if you make Christmas cards and/or scrapibook Christmas pictures. I don't like how Cricut.com is making their website where you can't see the handbook anymore to see all the options of the cartridges. That sold me on Christmas Cheer and others I have purchased. I am wanting Zooabella right now for the letters as well as the animal characters. Happy Stamping !!! Beckaroni
