I bought an air compressor at Harbor Freight. Looks like you cannot adjust the PSI on this one. My copic instructor set her copic compressor at 50 psi and her air brushing is beautiful This is what the instruction book says on the Harbor Freight one:

Turn on the Power Switch and the air compressor will start and work continuously until it reaches its maximum preset pressure which will be approximately 55 PSI at which time it will automatically shut down. It will re-start when the pressure drops to approximately 42 PSI.

Will this compressor work with the ABS 3 attachment. Or should I just purchase the copic compressor. I paid $79 for this compressor vs $149 the want for the copic.

Default sub-compressor

Subscribing to follow this chat! I read that Markie's Mom bought the $50.00 compressor from Harbor Freight and loves it. I purchased the Copic ABS-1 starter set, and did one ATC and the air can was empty.........they do not sell the cans at Dick Blick, I would have to order on-line, so am considering just purchasing the compressor.

How can I tell if a compressor will fit onto what I have?

Hahahaha I have an air compressor made by Bonaire, but it only has a car cigarette adaptor. Can you see me out in the garage going to town airbrushing???

Thanks for any help!

Shelly

Default compressor

I asked Markie's Mom (Faith) and she says she has this compressor- it is 40PSI from Harbor Freight and it runs ~ $70.00

All I know is that one ATC used up one entire can of '80' air......and it will be cheaper to by this than to keep replacing small cans of air.

I e-mailed Copic about the certification classes- they were in Chicago within the last year, so do not plan on returning (BOO!)....... I would love some classes/tutorials!

This is the link to the one that Markiesmom uses. You can get it at Harbor Freight for $69.99, and if you can also sign up for their emails and they will send you a 20% off coupon that you can use to save even more $$$$. She also has some great tutorials on how to use it too. I printed out the page and the coupon and gave it to my DH so he knows what I want from him and my kids for Mother's Day.
