We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy?
Does any one know where I can purchase this? I have looked locally with no success. I have not seen anyone on line who is carrying it yet. If you are not sure what I am talking about the link below will take you to it
Hi-
I just saw this product in the Archiver's flyer I received in the mail. I've never heard of it before, and I was excited to read about it since I just don't have room for a sewing machine right now. Have you had any luck finding it? If so, how do you like it?? I'm just worried about it being tedious to hand sew the thread through every hole, lol! I'd love to hear your feedback!!
Thanks,

I have not had any luck at all finding one. I do not have an Archiver's near me. If you do get one please let me know how you like it as my curiosity is killing me, LOL.
I was looking at these because I just don't have room to have my sewing machine out. Let us know how they work. I'm really hoping they're not anything like those piercing bugs because they look like they're about the same thing.
Here is another place (www.ajscrapbookessentials.com) online to order it. I just received mine from them the other day, hoping to have some time soon to play with it!
I just saw this product mentioned in the General Stamping forum, and it looks interesting. I'm a klutz with a sewing machine, so I'd love to hear more about this.
I saw this advertised in CardMaker magazine! I, too, am wondering how everyone likes it. I have a small sewing machine, but even as small as it is, it is still too much trouble to pull it out, plug it in and stitch. And it only does straight stitching, whereas this Sew Easy allows zig zag, cross stitch, blanket, and scallop stitches. It is suggested retail $7.99 for the piercer and $2.99 for attachments so the cost isn't all that much.
i love mine - i have used it on several different things and experimented. i like using the floss as opposed to sewing because the floss is thicker than sewing thread so it gives you more dimension. i am already wanting to get the other heads for it!
I did a demo on this recently - it's also a lot of fun for faux stitching! A white pen or a Glaze pen gives a great look quickly. You can also use it as a guide for lining up small rhinestones or Stickles dots, too.

Just bumping to see if anyone has more information on this. I am really interested, but I promised myself that this year I will only purchase what I will use. So I do a lot of research now. You are my wonderful research assistants. Anyone have more experience with this and willing to give us a report?

I really like this tool. I did a 12" border but sent it home with the 6 year old girl I babysit so I have not preview for you. But it's simple to use!
I have not had a chance to watch the video provided in this post (I will though) but the only recommendation I have is to use the type of mat that is suggested, hard surface with a foam underneath. I first used the wheel on a piece of foam only and pressed hard and the paper rolled a little on me. No biggie the paper smoothed out easily. Have fun and enjoy!
I have not found it in any stores, but it is available online. Oh My Crafts is now out of stock, but should be getting more soon. One store that currently has it online is A Cherry on Top.com. Good luck!
I have this tool and, while it is inexpensive, I am not using it. It is really just a small plastic roller with raised dots. I have the mat for it but could not get the roller to make actual holes. It only indented the paper and then I had to go back and punch the “indents” with a piercer. So I would not give it 2 thumbs up. Maybe 1 thumb up!

What kind of cardstock or paper have you tried using this tool on Joan? I thought I recall reading that certain thicker cardstocks are more difficult to pierce with this tool. Any more feedback you can provide is greatly appreciated!
Curious to know if anyone has had any more experience with this tool. I bought one (and all the different 'stitches'). I saw the video on it and it looked awesome. I wouldn't say I love it. I bought it because I had seen so many examples of people sewing on their cards. I did not purchase the mat and have tried both a hard plastic cutting board and a mouse pad. I don't really like either. The mouse pad worked a bit better but it did crease my paper and I find it very difficult to do the stitching straight (maybe it's just me!)
I tried both SU WW and another brand (not sure what it is). I didn't find a difference between the two. I'm attaching 2 samples - first one is faux stitching - I used a marker to 'draw' in the stitches and the other I actually did the sewing with DMC thread (cross-stitch thread).
Would love to hear if anyone has had more success, specifically how you do the stitching in straight lines and what you use as a mat. With the green card sample (actual stitching) I had to use a paper piercer to re-do the holes as it was quite frustrating that the needle wouldn't go through.
i LOVE mine! what you really need underneath is some of that fun foam - you know those kids foam projects?
as for getting the stitches straight i do two things. 1. do my stitching FIRST then cut my paper to match my stitches. OR 2. it takes practice but i can now use my ruler as a guide.
Great tips! Thank you. I will have to try the fun foam which I have (I was trying to get away with not having to purchase another tool to use a tool!) And I'll definitely have to stitch first then cut (it took so long to do the stitching on the card I listed that there was no way I wasn't going to use that piece!) And . . . I remind myself that it doesn't have to be perfect - the handmade inconsistencies help to make them unique and special! Thanks so much!
