Default Watermark

I know I've seen this on here a million times before, but I am looking to see if someone can make a watermark for me to use on my pictures. Or if someone can explain to me how to easily make one. I've never used one before, and have no idea on how to make one.

I am looking for two easy, simple watermarks if anyone can help me out!!!

Thanks in advance!!

Depends on your software:

For PSP http://www.hypergurl.com/watermark.html
for photoshop http://vampiremackenzie.deviantart.c...orial-19773569

*no matter what program you use, the easiest thing to do is create your watermark in your graphics program. Lower the opacity to like 90%, and save as a transparent png. For PSP you can export as a TUBE. In Photoshop you can make it a brush. Or just use it as a png layer.

If you check the blogging forum, there is a thread called "Watermark without Photoshop" that has good information.

Im so sorry ladies! I keep meaning to come back and add this but as soon as I think about it, it leaves again!

Depending on where you are hosting your blog, you can use WINDOWS LIVE WRITER. It works with self hosted blogs, wordpress, blogger, etc.
IT IS FREE.
http://windowslivewriter.spaces.live.com/

Basically its a little program that lets you type up your blog post on your computer, save as draft, publish, whatever... all without actually going to your blog. I love it because it can do MULTIPLE blogs too! Anyway, the reason I am telling you about it is...

for you ladies that do not have graphics programs, and are just wanting to watermark images for your blogs...

it has an addon thing where IT will watermark FOR you! All you do is tell it what to say~ it even will resize images for you and everything. So all you do is insert the image you want, then over on the right do the add>watermark. Easy as pie!

Cool Non-Techie solution

Type a little slip of acetate or vellum, with your name or logo on it and using removable vellum tape, tape it to the card BEFORE you photograph it. That way it appears on your card whatever! And no fancy program for removing watermarks can shift it! typed once and used over and over, low-tech solution!

An easy program, and FREE, is Picasa. Just download it from Google. After downloading, bring up an image, click on basic fixes, click on Text, type what you want to appear, click Apply, and you're done!

I'm going to have to agree with Picasa. It's dummy proof (that's me!). I edit my photos in it now. It fixes my horrible lighting and straightens out my crooked pictures. It's easy and it's free. And I figured it out all by myself, without asking for my husband's help. Trust me, that's saying a lot!

Not to get off the subject of watermark...by the way, thanks to everyone for their pearls of wisdom...but, how do you resize photos in Picasa? I'm having a terrible time!

Ah, Sue, thanks. I'm just tellin' it like it is. It was a proud moment. And speakin' of tellin' it like it is, craftyc, I'm sorry about that. Since I've always resized my pictures in paint, I still do that cuz I was too lazy to figure that part out. Still proud! But I do everything else in picasa.
