We seem to be seeing more uses of washi tape. Being transparent helps to add a banner or sentiment over a die cut or stamped image. I came across this card on pinterest, Cecilia's cards, tha nk you for sharing. Cecilia's Cards: Washi Thank You
and I am wondering if using a washi tape layering on
card stock and die cutting, leaves a residue on the die cuts because of the sticky background? anyone else tried it

Hi Carolyn
I die cut over washi taped Cardstock all the time. I have no problems with sticky residue. The sticky part of the tape is on the card. I also make flowers with washi tape. Cecilia's Cards: Washi Goodness
Thanks for the share!
Thanks for sharing this method of using washi tape. I love the stuff but don't really know how to use it as an accent. My attempts always look so amateurish. I am going to try using it like the sample. (I buy the rolls whenever I see one it like so my storage container is overflowing so must use them.)
I hope you don't mind; when I looked on pinterest (before posting), I found your site and love your ideas; had to pin some of the ideas to get used to using this type of tape

No worries Carolyn
I do pin all my cards on Pinterest - My Cards
You will find more washi tape cards there. On my blog, they are also tagged as 'Washi Tape' if you want to have a look there as the Washi tape cards may not necessarily look like Washi tape when you see them on Pinterest.
Have fun! I have an obsession with washi tape! Can't get enough of it!
I am now a follower of yours on pinterest and your blog is on my bloglovin daily folders.
How you put patterns together is divine; the artist in you; a joy to view
