Default Using a brayer on your projects

I bought four or five brayers several years ago and, so far, the only thing I've used them for is smoothing down glued items on my scrapbook pages.

I recently found a cool tutorial using an inked brayer (very lightly) on an embossed surface. COOL!

What are some of your favorite brayer techniques, uses, projects?

Very nice looking cards. Guess I will have to get out my brayer.

I have a mini handle as well but I'm having trouble finding the brayer wheel. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Inking the folder itself is fun and a brayer gives you much smoother coverage for doing that. Ink up the "negative" side (the one that will be the parts of the design that are down rather than up) to get colour in those parts of your embossing (sample attached done with Tumbled Glass distress ink and the Cuttlebug Jamara folder).

Bouncing brayer is fun - you'll find a tutorial in the resources section here (postcard sample attached).

Of course the classic is the brayered sky look. Have a look at Michelle Zindorf's gallery for the master of that one!

Oooh, I really like the idea of brayering the embossing folder. That card you showed is awesome! I really makes the embossing "pop".

Here is a technique I saw that creates a "sunset" look with reinkers: Brayer technique with ink refills - YouTube
