I faithfully buy SU reinkers every time I add a new color to my collection. They just sit in a box, waiting for the day that I may need to re-ink my stamp pads. I've been buying SU ink pads for about a decade and so far, I haven't had to re-ink any pads. I actually killed a stamp pad (Basic Black) and had to throw it out before I managed to re-ink it.
I know there are a lot of other ways to use the ink in projects. I'm looking for ideas, so I can start using these little bottles for something fun.

I'm sure there are others, those were the ones that sprang immediately to mind. I've never done the marbles but the shaving foam is fun, I've attached a sample I did with that technique a while back.

I love to dye my own ribbon!! Just use a little bit of water and then up to a few drops of ink and you have the color you need to match any project. By having control of the ink you can make it as dark or light as you wish. I have a lot of varieties of white ribbon just so I always have a style and color match for whatever project I have going on.
I have no craft stores or LSS within an hours ride so I had to learn to be resourceful. LOL!
You can also make your own pearl mists. I use the Ranger mini misters and add water, a couple drops of dye reinker to get right color, and a little scoop of a coordinating color Perfect Pearls to give it sparkle. The perfect pearls already have a fixative so it will stick to the paper when it dries.
Had to comment on this one. I too buy a refill for every marker/pad. I don't use my pads as often so they don't need refilling much. I do use my markers though and I reink those when they start to dry. I just uncap the large end and add a drop or two at a time. If you add more than that it tends to not drip into the barrel as well and overflows. Six or eight drops should do it. I leave the pen on end for a while to let the color flow down. When I color my ribbons and seam binding I use my markers a lot because I like the more mottled look. It takes a lot of ink out of my markers.
I use them at Christmas to color the clear ornaments.
Remove ornament cap
Squeeze 2-25 drops of reinker into the glass ornament
Slowly turn the ornament until reinker covers the entire inside of it. Let dry upside-down (I use an egg carton to hold them) several hours or overnight.
Put about an 1/8 to 1/4 tsp of ultra fine/fine glitter inside and gently shake until interior surface is covered. Shake out excess glitter, replace the cap and you have a BEAUTIFUL sparkly ornament. :-)
