Default Unmounting stamps question

I am working on unmounting all of my wood mount stamps and I have read through most of the threads about unmounting and the question that I have is do you need to remove the bits of sticky stuff that is left on the back of the rubber before mounting the stamp on to EZ mount? If you need to remove the sticky stuff what do you use to get it off fairly easily? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Goo Gone will work to remove the adhesive. I didn't bother with EZ-mount, I just bought a bit of Tac-N-Peel to put on the acrylic blocks themselves and found that it works just fine (way less work, too).

Thanks Renee, but I like having a bit of cushioning to my stamps and I have about 8 sheets of EZ mount that I want to use up.
