Default UnDu is coming back!

A few weeks ago, after the discussion on UnDu not being made any more, I e-mailed the company. Today, I got an e-mail back--and this is what it said:

To ALL,

My name is Mark Foley. I was the original owner of this wonderful product. I have recently purchased the un-du Product line from Big Time Products. I will begin setting up retail and wholesale distribution focusing on the Hobby Craft markets and commercial markets.

I am excited as I was the first day I sold this great product. I am looking forward to seeing you all with un-du back into your home.

Have a blessed day.

Sincerely,

Mark Foley

That's great. I use undu to clean the sticky goo off my scissors when I cut my stamps.

This stuff has saved my projects so many times. I never fails that I get a little glue residue on my fingers and then touch my project. I use a little undu on a q-tip and it takes it right off. I didn't realize it wasn't being sold any more until I recommended it to my MIL. She went to the scrapbook store and they told her it was no longer sold. I was worried maybe it was an issue with the chemicals. I'm glad that's not the case and I'll be able to get more soon. My bottle is running low.

Undo is a great product. I am glad to hear that it is back. I first bought it at a scrapbook convention and loved it for removing photos from the old magnetic albums. When I called about it at Joann's and Michael's, they acted like I was nuts. At that time, they did carry it. When I went to store, I found it on my own in both stores. The staff just did not know about it or where to find it.

I have never used Undu, but am curious, does it leave a mark/stain where you used it? It seems too good to be true. Do I need this stuff as I am sort of a messy scramper!! lol.

Now I use my CM rubber eraser and sometimes rub off the color on my paper after trying to remove a rogue glue spot.

Thanks and not meaning to hi-jack, just curious.

No, it does not leave any marks or stains where it was used. It is like magic!!

No, UnDu does not leave a mark. In fact, if you use it to remove a sticker, as soon as the liquid evaporates, the sticker will be sticky and useable again! I've used it to reposition postage stamps.

One thing I've found is that when I use my Xyron 510, sometimes I have a little adhesive the pulls up onto the front of my die-cut--and UnDu removes it quite easily--I just put a drop on a tissue and wipe it off. ESPECIALLY helpful if you're using Mirricard (sp--the mirror/metallic-looking cardstock), because that stuff attracts stray adhesive on the front like a magnet!

I also use it to clean adhesive off my work table (which is formica) and it has taken off glue or even marker marks from it.

I got this e-mail from Mr. Foley on the 26th:

Deb,

I just recently purchased un-du from Big Time Products and I am in the middle of setting up wholesale, retail and Internet distribution. You can go to www.scrapbook.com and order soon. They just received their first order today so they should be up and going in a few days.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call.

Sincerely,

Mark Foley

Thank Goodness...I was wondering why my HL took it off the shelf...they disco'd the product completely. My DH knocked my last bottle over in the garage and I could have killed him. I can't wait to get more...this also worked for our license plate stickers...

I'm told they will not ship to California. Does anyone have a suggestion for their second favorite brand?

I actually met Mark some years ago at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Texas. He is a really nice guy, and YES this is a magic product. I've been hoarding mine - thanks for the info about ordering online!

I used this stuff on pictures from 1919 and it was absolutely wonderful. Someone had used some kind of tape to put pictures in an album and then taped the pictures themselves together and Undu took all the adhesive off and didn't hurt the photos. These were the only pictures of my great grandfather during World War I. Glad it is back.

I never knew gone! I guess I haven't looked for it in a while. Why was it removed from sale?

That stuff truly rocks!! I use it on so many things.

Since no one has answered you yet:

UnDu temorarily 'deactivates' the stickiness of a sticker, and leaves it sticky again when it dries. I've used it to remove stickers from book dust covers, scrapbook pages; stamps from envelopes (that I put the stamp on upside down or decided to hand-deliver the card); bumper stickers from cars. I've used it to clean up errant bits of Xyron adhesive from the fronts of my cards. Works great to clean the adhesive off your scissors, and to clean bits of adhesive and marks off your work surface (mine is laminate, and looks like new, thanks to UnDu). SO FAR, I haven't ever found anything that it has ruined, and I haven't ever heard of anything that it ruins. It evaporates very quickly. I would hate to scrap or craft without it!

Hi Mark -- you may remember me as the guy who helped you with your PR for un-du when you first launched. I hope you make a comeback!!! I hooked so many people on un-du, then it was impossible to find. It was truly a great product! Nothing else compares to it. Will it eventually make its way to California?
