I found a huge spool of old-fashioned thick, bumpy twine at Big Lots in the hardware area for about $1. I remember having that around the house all the time in the "olden days" for wrapping packages for mailing. For finer twine, I use SU! Hemp Twine Natural or for colored finer twine, I use jewelry hemp from Michaels.

Wow thanks everyone. I didn't know there where so many types twine, linen thread string materials.
I'm just used to the "olden days" type that lutheran mentioned. Kind of makes me chuckle because we always had that stuff around when I was kid.
Another question, Do you think I could die the regular twine with Adirondack Alcohol Ink ?
