Default Tsuniko Brilliance Rocket Red Ink Pad? HELP

I just bought a Tsuniko brilliance Rocket Red Pigment Ink pad. I am afraid to open the package because I am almost positive that It is not what I was really looking for. I needed a red shimmery ink for inking edges. Don't ask me why... I saw someone use one on a cute project and I NEED ONE :-D . Does any one have this pad? Is it shimmery? Or just flat red? I have the Pearlescent Dew Drops in Pastels (these are very opaque shimmery, I just want a light sparkle) but I really wanted a red.

I just tested mine on a scrap of white and there is a slight shimmer to it. Now I think I'll need to use this ink pad more than I have. Good luck with your decision. Hopefully others will chime in!

it is very sparkley, depending on how you ink it. It is not a lipstick red...much more muted. HTH!

Cool, I will have to bust it out! I got it 40% off anyway. Mike's is having that big sale... all inks on sale, and Cricut Cartridges for 39.99!!! I got two!
Big dent in the budget. I made 4 cards tonight to try to make myself feel better about it.

Gale is correct on rocket red. Try Pearlscent Poppy. I use this one to death for edging and I find the dew drops easier to handle to edging. This color is not red red (does that make sense). But it is beautiful.

I agree, the Rocket Red is not that shimmery so it's probably not what you're looking for. I have the dewdrops and like Pearlescent Crimson but it's not a red red iykwim. I have Rocket Red Gold which is a little shimmery because of the gold but it's kind of a pinkish red. From what I can see, Pearlescent Poppy may be what you're looking for.
