I have always been told that lefties are smarter people. That means you all are smarter than me!
Blessings.

My brother and I used to be card-carrying members of Lefthanders International back in the 80s - we thought that was pretty cool. They had a slogan about left-handed people being the only ones in their right minds. ;)

As a lefty, I also know that a pen or pencil is for right handed people. They look at me strange, but then I show them. Then they get it. I won a bet with a friend who didn't believe me. That was a nice dinner he had to make for me. Ha ha.

I work at JoAnn's and did you know, 40% of our guests are left handed? We are definitely more creative than the righty's

I have at least 3 nephews who went to college to become engineer's. I tell them all to remember the lefty's when they are designing something. I just hope they remember.

As for my scissors. One of my first purchases I bought with my discount was a left handed scissors thinking it would be awesome. I'm so use to the right handed scissors I switched back.

I've really enjoyed reading thru this thread and shaking my head yes as I did so. I never notice the lettering on pencils changes when you switch hands, kinda cool actually.

Yesterday I pulled out my lettering stencil to use it and realized as a leftie I do not enjoy using it. The tracing was ok but coloring after was a smeared mess, grrr.

I was lucky I had a left handed mom to learn cooking etc from but I could never get my handwriting to look good. In third grade my teacher told my parents that I was only getting a "C" in handwriting so they made me practice every night for a couple of weeks. The teacher had to call and tell them to stop because I was quickly headed to a "D" in that subject! I really was trying but, well.... y'all know how it is, lol.

btw for whoever was asking, I use a Carl rotary trimmer, it has numbering at both ends.

I had a teacher who gave me 45% in handwriting. I was devastated, and I while I believe she thought it would motivate me to try harder, it only made me feel hopeless. Looking back, it seems kind of petty that she did that...as far as I know, my crummy handwriting has not held me back in this life after all.

Thumbs up

Well first off....Us Lefties are always in our Right Mind!

Since we use our right side of our brain.

I too am a Lefty. But I hold my pen's and pencils and write like a right handed person.

The one that bugs me...Is all of my lamps are set on the left side of me. and at night I can't see where I'm coloring or stamping. There is a shadow. (I know I could move my lamps to the right.)

I have a pair of left handed scissors.. I use them all the time.
My paper Trimmer I turn upside down (ruler towards my body) and cut that way. I've been told I was doing it wrong. Oh well.

I mostly use my left hand for just about everything.
