Default Is there a good "over the counter" ink?

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE SU ink. BUT, when I need it "now" and not in a couple weeks, does anyone have suggestions for good brands of ink that I can purchase at JoAnns, Michaels, etc?

Galet1.......The Ranger products and Colorbox are good choices. These can be purchased at AC Moore and some of them at Michaels. I would just stay away from the real inexpensive ones that each of these stores sells. Michaels also sells a brand of ink pads that I don't like, but just can't remember the manufacturer of them.

Versafine inks are great for detailed images and for clear stamps.

I like Brilliance and Versamagic, both at Michael's, and Joann's.

If you're looking for dye-based inks then the Adirondack range is hard to beat - great colours, good coverage and detail.

Versafine black onyx ink is the best (IMHO) for coloring with colored pencils and gamsol. Some also have success using it with copics (I'm not one of those people though, I use Memento ink with copics). HTH

In addition to all the above-mentioned brands, I also like Ancient Page in black for a good "real" black (I find the SU black to be rather purple). It works great on rubber & clear stamps.
