I have a few stencils that have such fine lines in them that I either get less-than-crisp impressions (because no amount of taping the edges makes the stencil taut enough to stay flat) or I actually tear some of the lines when I'm brushing or sponging color on. Clearly I need a temporary spray adhesive to hold these in place while I work, but there are so many on the market and I haven't been able to figure out which is best for stencils. I'd want something that's easy to remove from the stencil when I finished, too.
Any suggestions for me? Thanks!

I would like a product like this, too. Looking at Krylon and Scotch websites, these are Permanent adhesives. Looking online for Crafters Companion, their website says it is repositionable. But it is from England. Amazon does not carry it now and Ebay does not have any now. :(

Krylon makes a repositionable adhesive, called Easy-Tack, which is available at amazon, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, and many other places. And Scotch makes something called Spray Mount Artist's Adhesive which is repositionable and widely available
As to Crafter's Companion Stick & Spray, I don't know what's going on with that. Amazon and A Cherry on Top used to carry it, but don't now, and the UK sites, like CraftStash won't ship it to the U.S. There's a Crafter's Companion Facebook page which I've just applied to join. Maybe they will have more information.

Ah, I see! Thanks. I did check HSN's website; they carry two other brands of spray adhesive (Dritz and Sulky), but not Crafter's Companion's repositionable adhesive. I'm beginning to think it's not available in the U.S. because of some import issue or contents that aren't allowed here.

How do you clean the stencil after you have used it? Does the adhesive come off with soapy water? TIA
I use the Krylon Easy Tack, and have never really cleaned it from my stencils. I just stick the stencil onto a piece of wax paper and store it that way. I keep my smaller stencils (6x6" & 8x8" mostly) in an 8x8" post-bound scrapbook album. I slip the wax paper-backed stencil into the sleeve, and I'm good! Just make sure to let the adhesive dry for a few hours (as per instructions on the can) before storing. HTH!
