Default Substitute for SU Aged Copper Brads?

Does anyone know where I could find a similar product to substitute for SU's Aged Copper brads that come in the Hodgepodge Hardware set? I want to use these in my upcoming baby announcements, but I need about 400 and I cannot justify buying 4 of these sets!! I've searched online, but can't seem to find something similar...

The closest I've been able to find are the Making Memories Antique Copper mini-brads. The match isn't exact, but might be close enough for your purposes -- and a LOT less expensive! My local Mike's and Jo's both carry the MM brads -- you could try comparing the colors before you buy. Good luck in your search!

Happy trails....

Dip your brads onto a Versamark then dip in EP and heat. Here is a recipe for aged looking EP: (post # 10 http://blog.360.yahoo.com/rubyslippers74

I'll try the MM brads. I'm not picky about color - just want cheap and easy for 400. I don't think I have enough time to emboss that many.

Thanks for the help!

I just got the MM ones this weekend. They are close to the HH ones. The little leg things on the back of the brads are shorter though, which really doesn't matter. It's just a bit different. The legs are also stiffer than the ones in HH so they stay in place better.
