SU White Gel Pen

Hi all,

I have 2 of the SU white gel pens and both of them still have 'ink' but both of them stopped working. Any suggestions on how to get the ink flowing again?? I really liked them when they worked, but now I'm wondering if I need a new brand of gel pen. Thanks.

Default We all have this problem!

There were several tips posted on this thread:

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

The thread name is: "Help with Signo White Pen, Please"

I know there's a way to make the thread a hyperlink, but it I'm not sure if I did it right, so if I didn't do it right search the forums for "Signo" and it should come up.

I've resorted to just buying a new one every now and then because even though some of the tips worked, they only work for a while.

I loved my SU white gel pen WHEN IT WORKED. After not using it for about a month, I couldnt get mine working either ... so I've now bought a Sharpie poster paint pen and I really really like it. You just have to make sure you get the WATER BASED one and not the oil based one.

Thanks for the replies. After reading that thread, it would appear that a lot of folks have had the same problems with these pens. :( Guess I'm off to look for one that works for longer than a week or two.

?You know, I have never really had any trouble with my white gel pens except when I push too hard on the tip. Once I get the flow going, if I start man-handling it, it stops working. I give it a couple of swipes (usually on my BLACK jeans) and then go back to a 'loving touch'. I ran the whole ink out of several! HTH!

Tossed BOTH of mine since neither worked. Got the Ranger Inkssentials and it is AWESOME! Ink comes out smoothly and consistently. Try it.

Wow...I have both the SU and the Ranger pens...(shhhhhh, lol). They seem to work about the same to me. Have you all let your demos know about this? If there's a problem, maybe a bad shipment or changed formula by the manufacturer, SU really should be contacted.

Personally, I love gel pens. Almost as much as I hate them, lol! When they work, they are magical. It's just that they don't always. If your pen malfunctions so soon, though...please call your demo and have her contact SU about it. They need to know there's a problem!

I've heard that if you place your gel pen, tip down, in some warm water (in a cup) for a short while it will start working again. It's worth a try.

the ball can get stuck with dried ink, so I ussually just use finger nail polish to get it rolling again.
