Yes, just be careful when you take the vellum out of the printer. Each page needs time to dry so take them out carefully and don't lay them on top of each other until they are dry. Best of luck. I have used vellum to print invitations and the insides of some of my cards often.
I do it all the time with the vellum cardstock. You do want to set your setting on transparency, at least I do. It still needs to dry otherwise it will smear. Laser printers don't need to dry but most people don't have one at home.
I print on it all the time and even did my daughter's invitations with it. We embossed the printing after it came out of the printer so it didn't smear and I've also just hung it on my card display line to dry on it's own.
I also stamp on it with staz on stamp pads and it works great that way too, but it needs dry time or embossing too.

I print on vellum alot I use draft for the setting and the ink dries quickly and doesnt smear. I think the secret is to use less ink when printing to vellum.
If you try the embossing , you need to be careful and not get the heat too close to the vellum as is will make the vellum warp and shrink a bit.
