Default SU scalloped punch or Marvy equivalent?

I really want to get a scallop punch this size, but am torn between the SU one or the Marvy one. Have you noticed if one is better than the other or have some better use that I haven't noticed? What do you think I should get?

I think they are different. I would go for the SU one. I have a circle punch by Marvy(I think) and it about breaks my hand to punch it. I know they have some new ones out that are suppose to be easier to punch.

I bought the Paper Studios one because I didn't want to wait on shipping. Wish I had waited. I'm going to go back and order the SU one. Much easier to use.

Default punches

I'm going to order the scalloped punch from SU because I have several of the Marvys, but I read on this board that the size and number of the scallops is designed on the SU punch to coordinate perfectly with the SU designs. If you look at both, you'll see that the scallops look larger on the SU one and there are fewer scallops.

I'd go with SU, if you are planning on using their stamps. The Marvy ones work well for me , but the sizing is different. SU makes it easy to coordinate layers.

I have a couple of the marvy tag punches and I have to stand up and press VERY hard to make it cut. It hurts my hand. The SU scallop punch is fabulous and well worth the price and the wait.

I am waiting for my su one. I do have a large circle Marvy one. The scallops on the su look different to me.

Definitely the SU! scallop punch!! I wish that they would come out with different sizes of the circle scallop and an oval and retangle scallop punch.

Yes, yes, yes! I would really like to see a few more scallop punches in the new SU catty. If anyone who has clout is listening .... I'm sure some demos could put in a good word or two??? hint hint ;)

I am a SU demo and I agree that we need more scallop punches. I would really like one larger so it would layer with the current punch. Putting in a good word. Hey, they did come out with a larger tag punch to go with the smaller one you never know?!

that is true "raggedyanne" -- well if they can come up with a larger tag punch I'm sure a larger scallop is on the way -- thanks

I have two different sizes of Marvy scallop circles for layering, but I just got the SU one because I like the scallops better (they are bigger). Plus, they coordinate with the other SU punches and the SAB stamp set.
