Question SU! ret Magnetic Sheets - ?

I'm wondering if anyone knows if these mag sheets are the same (in thickness and strength of magnetic pull) as the ones you can buy at the hardware store --magnetic vent covers--? I've seen those in a 3 pack that look like they are 8x13.

Since SU! discontinued the sheets (bummer!), I wonder if I can buy the hardware brand and add sizzix adhesive to the back of the magnetic sheet same as the SU! sheets??? That way I can store my dies in the clear cases...

feedback would be appreciated, thanks!
Kelli

I have some older SU magnetic sheets, and in my opinion, they aren't as strong as the vent covers. I used the vent covers for my die storage.
HTH!

If they're the same strength as the 8.5x11" sheets you can get from Oriental Trading (they have adhesive on one side) or the rolls of magnetic sheets from stores like Hobby Lobby (also with adhesive on one side), then they're okay for die storage, but not great. I think they're the same strength. I've used the ones I mentioned for die storage and they mostly hold the dies (I have mostly Spellbinders' dies stored this way), but the dies do fall off.

the vent covers are way stronger than the printable sheets from OT or Stapels.
