I went to use my real red ink pad over the weekend and it had this gummy glaze over the pad. It's changed the color and was a mess to clean up. It still isn't right but I hate to throw it out but I think I will have to. Has anyone else had this same thing happen?

YUP, almost looked like a fungus on it, it was nasty. Another person on here stated they had the same issue with theirs.
Yes, SU pads sometimes have that happen. The Real Red eventually discolors and turns brownish too. The Basic Black turns purpleish.
I've moved to using Palette inks for that very reason. No fading and I can use them on any surface - glass, fabric, paper. It's great! With those and my Versamark pad for embossing I'm all set!
They didn't ask for the old one so maybe you can give them a call and see if they'll replace it. The lady I talked to was really nice. I've had my pads 5+/- years and have been really happy with them. Not sure what happended with this one.
