Default SU My Digital Studio Product ?

I want to purchase the Stamping Up MDS program. They are now offering new products on this. MDS 2, MDS 2+ Does anyone know where I should start?? I do not have My Digital Studio. Do I need to have the old program? Thanks so much!

Also any feedback on the product would be helpful too...good or bad.

Thanks again!

You don't need the old MDS to have MDS2 or MDS2+.

The difference between MDS2 and MDS2+ is the content - MDS2+ comes preloaded with over $500 of digital content (stamp brushes, paper, templates etc.)

I am by no means an expert (in fact so far I've made about 3 projects!) but I love it already!

Thanks!

So since this is my first purchase I will need to get the MDS2+? Okay my next question would be is it available for purchase? Says in catalog available late 2012.

Yes, it is available now ... but only by download. Which works fine.
You will need to go to your demo's website (or go to Stampin' Up! and use the Demonstrator Locator to find a demonstrator near you with a website) and use the Store to purchase MDS2+

MDS2+ will give you lots of stamps, embellishments, punches, and paper to work with and get you started.

I suggested a demo near you so that you have somebody to call on for help.

In addition, go to mydigitalstudio.net and register in their forum. There are tons of examples, videos from demos and SU!, and explanations of a lot of stuff! Including a blog.

All of it will help you get started.
Have fun!

You can also download a free trial of My Digital Studio for a month; it will ask you if you want to purchase/register to continue using it. This is a great way to try it out! Mary

All the other comments are of course correct... the My Digital Studio 2 software is available for download now, and will be available with even more features as a disc product later in the year. And, the free trial download is a great way to check it out.

But, you also asked for feedback on the product itself. As a demo, you can probably imagine just how much wonderful stuff I have in my craft room... but what I have been finding is that I prefer to do my scrapbooking (and frankly, even card-making) digitally with My Digital Studio because:
  • It is faster and easier to get a project done (and easy to learn)
  • I can resize and crop pictures as needed, without having to get reprints made
  • I can swap various colors, papers & designs until I find what I like
  • It's easy to start a project and stop in the middle, without having to put everything away
  • Although some of our favorite papers will eventually be discontinued to make room for new ones in the catalog  , they will always be available through MDS !
Hope that helps!
