Default SU ink pads question

How close is the Basic Brown to Close To Cocoa and Chocolate Chip? Also is the SU black still purple? I'm debating on buying these two and wondering if I really NEED them. Also what can you do with the Whisper White and Very Vanilla craft pads?

Thanks in adavnce!

I don't like the SU black. I use the versa fine black and it is awesome. I don't have the basic brown but cocoa and chocolate chip. I love chocolate chip ink as well as the CS. That is about all the help I can give you. I used to use the whisper white craft pads for all my hockey scrapbooks I made. It stamps and sets on black great. I just sold my vanilla realizing that I probably would not use it very much. I now emboss with versa mark and the white SU powder.

I use the Whisper White craft ink all the time. It stamps well on most colors. You can also do the chalkboard technique with Whisper White. There is a tutorial on SCS for this. I have used it to make backgrounds. I do not have the Very Vanilla although it is on my wish list.
The Basic Brown is closer to Chocolate Chip. I really don't use it very often. When I need a more permanent brown ink I either use Timber Brown Stazon or Chocolate Chip craft.
I don't use Basic Black I use Stazon Black instead.

I don't use either Basic anymore. I think Chocolate Chip is darker than Basic Brown. I switched to Palette Burnt Umber for my waterproof brown needs and use Memories for my waterproof black needs.

I have switched to Memento ink pads - Rich Cocoa & Tuxedo Black for all my stamping needs. Works great with Copics and drys almost instantly.

i use the white craft ink(well when i had it, havent had a chance to get my hands on some) alot for doing the backgrounds(the images in the white on a solid colored cardstock..if that makes sense...) i was pondering at one time to get the craft ink square pads(those small "sample" like squares) cause of the price and i dont use them all the time, but would like to just use them once in while type thing....

I just ordered a new SU Black and it is very black

Basic Brown is close to Chocolate Chip but I find I use my Basic Brown brown more

Whisper White is great - I no longer user any of my other whites

If you have white you probably do not need VV - I like mine for blending but it's not a must have IMHO
