Default SU exclusive sizzix dies?

Can anyone tell me if there are sizzix dies in the current catalog(s) that are exclusive to SU yet are listed without the SU exclusive marking? I've read out in blogland that some of them, Flowers Daisy #2 and Matchbox dies for example are that way and just wanted to be sure of the information. Thanks.

The way I understand it is if they say Stampin Up in the name then it is exclusive, if it doesn't then it is available in the open market and you can get it everywhere. So I would assume the Flower Daisy #2 is NOT exclusive to SU (didn't see the Matchbox die, but I didn't look very hard ). If I am wrong, someone please correct me.

That was my understanding as well. The matchbox die is in the current mini and is part of Shelli's collection. Anything in the catalog with a 'heart' next to it is part of that collection, but not necessarily an 'exclusive'. Please...correct us if we're wrong!

That's my understanding, too. But it's easier to find some of the non-SU dies through SU, so I've bought them there.

The Matchbox BigZ XL die is in the recent Occasions Mini (I'm looking at it right now). It does not have SU in the name, nor is it described as a "Stampin' Up! Exclusive die," so I don't believe it's exclusive. I haven't seen it sold anywhere else, though it might show up eventually.

Question Does "exclusive" mean forever exclusive?

I wonder if the dies that are introduced as SU exclusives are exclusive only for a certain amount of time and then will be openly available. For example, SU's Top Note die is very similar to the same shaped two Sizzix dies coming out in June that are available now on eBay through Scrapbooking Made Simple, Inc.:

In other words, does "exclusive" mean forever exclusive?

The Matchbox die has Shelli's autograph on it. I would guess that makes a difference.

Wasnt there a thread here not too long ago about some of the dies that SU is releasing in a few months (like fall time) being avail for the general publc? I am very sure I saw a thread about it....someone will know what I am talking about. And the matchbox die I think is the one they were saying would be available outside of SU in the fall....Can anyone confirm?
blessings.

The matchbox IS a SU exclusive die. The ones you are thinking of are the Pop-Up Cake die and the 3-D Ball die which are currently being offerred by SU but aren't supposed to be released by Sizzix to the genreal public until later this summer.

I also noticed that Sizzix is now advertising their partnership with SU. I received an email a few weeks ago and this is now on their website.

if you go to the SU website they have a section for SU exclusive sizzix dies...the matchbox is not posted there so I don't know it's status. Hope this helps:
