SU Crystal Effects
Help! I just opened my new bottle of SU Crystal Effects....do I need to snip the top off of it? It won't come out (I did take the top off and remove the paper inside - for lack of a better term). Do I puncture it with a pin???
TIA!
Michelle

Yes, you need to snip it or cut the tip. When I go to use my bottle after awhile, I usually have to pierce it again with a paper clip.

And when I opened my first bottle of Crystal Effects I cut a little too much off the top so now it flows out too quickly and is harder to control. Just a heads up.

Definitely better to snip a little first...you can always snip a little more...you can't put it back...just like a haircut!

Once you clip the end off the Crystal Effects insert a straight pin with a large head on it to help keep it from closing up.

I tried that and after awhile the top layer was a little rusty colored so be careful...

Yes, just snip a bit off the top until you get a flow coming out. Don't cut off too much or you'll end up with a mess!

I too tried the pin thing, and got like a bit of rust on my projects, so now I just run the lid of it under some hot water if I haven't use it in a while

I ruined a bottle because the pen rusted. I just clear it each time with a pen it needed.
