When are the shimmery paints suppose to be in stock again?
My order just came and they are on back-order.
I needed these right away and need to know if I need to find a different product to use instead.

I don't know, but I'm also waiting on a SU ornament punch that has been backordered. Was hoping to have it this week. :( I guess the week has only begun.

Go to your local art shop and drool over the vast array of pearlised, metallic, irridescent/interference acrylic paints that are available now. They come in a large variety of viscosities - from thin and runnyish to thicker pastes. They are very easy to use, dry quickly and are waterbased. Just don't leave it on the side to dry on stuff you don't want it to dry on (ie brushes/stamps) - wash things as soon as you have used them. Great stuff though.
Are backordered items sent to the hostess or to the customer?
They're sent wherever and however the original order was sent (so if it was expedited, the backordered items will be expedited as well; and to the hostess, demo, or customer)
