Default Storing foil pieces

I put it off a long time, but I'm finally on the foiling bandwagon. How are you storing your foils? Do you have rolls and smaller sheets? Do you save scraps and negatives?

Hi Dini, yep, I fell down that rabbit hole when I discovered I could do hot foil with my laminator! I have some rolls, some A4 size sheets, lots of smaller sheets. I've got an A4 sized paper storage box I keep most in. I do keep the majority of the offcuts & smaller pieces in a smaller box, as I've found them useful for when I want a multiple of colours on my project, like these.

I also have a few of the wallets that some Sizzix/Tim Holtz dies come in, and they are useful for storing bits in too, as it keeps them flat.

I am planning on organizing my foil machines. I fell down the rabbit hole TWICE. Ideally I would like to put the Go Press and Foil and the Foil Quill machines together in a smallish tool box. I have a plastic box about 8 by 5 that I throw my scraps in. But some get folded and therefore a line develops on the foil so it is not an ideal situation. The dies for the Go Press I have stored in another plastic box. The accessories I stored in a plastic box too. Looking at this I realize I really, really need to get it organized better.

Hi Dina!
I have two different foiling machines also. The Minc- those foils I have in a bin- an organizing bin I got at Lowe's-- It looks like a wire mail sorting bin with a muslin liner. The rolls for it are in their original boxes & I just lay them down in the bin. I also store my Minc in there. For the scraps, I have a file folder that I put them in & have slipped into the side of the bin.

I also have the Spellbinders Glimmer Machine- I haven't gotten a container to store that one in yet. I do keep it in the original box as of yet, & lay the scraps in the bottom of the box for later use. (Need to put them in a file folder too.) The foils come in rolls, & I keep them in their boxes (The foils tend to scratch easily, so you'll want to protect them.) & just the other day, I pulled them out to "organize" them. LOL I have a few nice size square cookie tins that I put them in for now.

Just getting started with my Glimmer foiling, and can tell this is going to be a mess soon if I don't come up with some way to keep all these little bits of foil (just the useabel pieces) together....and then the rolls of foil too.... My foiling dies I'm going to keep like all the rest of my dies on magnetic cards, but in a different file. Looking froward to seeing what you all come up with.

I only have the smaller deco rolls that come in a plastic tube, and I just leave everything
in them.

For the flat pieces, I use an expanding accordion file folder, and I file them by color.
