I'd like to keep my prismacolor pencils on my desktop and handy and not in their case. If anyone else does this...what do you have them in? Do you have them divided by colors? I've been looking at the Copic Marker clear case for 72 markers....does anyone know if these have dividers in them?
Not sure about your last question but just wanted to say that I store my Prisma 120 pencils in a spin caddy (similar to Pampered Chef). I divided them into color groups...love having them on my desktop with such easy access.
I had my husband make a box sort of like a silverware tote with eight holes in it. I sort by neutrals, yellow/orange, red/ink/purple, brown/tan, greens, blues and I keep my stumps in one and blending pens in another.
Works great for me and it sits on my desktop.

Another vote for the Pampered Chef turn-about...only 17.00 too!! I have two of them, one for prisma and su markers and the other for my other tools...they are perfect!!
Here is the picture of the Dick Blick case. I have the 120 one and another 24 one for the extra pencils I've gotten. I travel and color a lot in the car so it was a natural to have this case. I just pull out the pencils for my project and place them in a small upright container and replace them in the case when I'm done. They are always ready to go on the road with me. The case protects them very well. Best investment I've made!

I keep mine in a couple of old empty candle jars. They look so pretty. I separated warmer colors (reds/ oranges/ yellows/ browns) etc into one and (blues/ greens/ purples/ greys) into the other. All 132 are in these two jars.

I have the clear cases that Copic sells for their markers. I have the cases that hold 36 markers. It is easier for me to work with the markers in the smaller cases. They are lighter to lift and the way my desk is (dis)organized it is easier for me to have them side by side instead of using up the space of the 72 markers (if I'd place them end to end). Each marker fits in to it's own spot. Hope this helps.
On the Lockhart Stamp Co. website you can see Karen's desk on the page where she lists her fave color pencils. Her pencils are all in drinking glasses sorted by color families, it appears to me! I need to look at her list of her favorite colors of pencils, too.
I have the same case that Stamps&Cars uses, and I LOVE it!! Even the little hand held sharpener that came with my set fits in the binding, so that can go with me too.
Another vote for the Global Classic leather pencil case from Dick Blick - my daughter gave it to me for Christmas and I LOVE IT! I organized mine following the ROYGBIV ditty learned in school waaaaaaaayyyyyyy back when.
And, thanks to Ann for the great idea of picking up another, smaller case to hold the neutrals and extras, since they keep adding new must-have colors each year.
