I like my pads all visible at once, so I my hubby helped (table-saw department) make one that fit my space and held all my pads. I got the idea from some sellers on Ebay, but mine was under $4 for supplies, and the Ebay ones are about $40+.
I like the idea of a turning one like the Stampin up Caddy but I want wood and the stampin up caddy didnt turn well. I had it and didnt like it. I need to find a storage solution soon.
SCS turned me onto the Napa Valley Cassette Tape holders - LOVE THEM! Have all my 48 pads, my 12 or so craft, and my 12 or so in-colors! All easily viewable and accessible. Do a search - sell on ebay, etc.

I have the SU! caddy and extender. I have been fortunate because mine turns well. I use it exclusively for my SU! stamp pads. For my non-SU! pads I have this http://www.wistampingsupplies.com/index.php. It works really well for me.

I have the PortaInk units from Best Craft Organizers...they are awesome...I wrote a bit about them on my blog here...HTH
I second Alanna's vote for the PortaInk Units. I own 6 of them and they fit a huge variety of different pads. I used to have the SU caddies, but they took up too much space on my desk and they did not turn like they should. I am a huge fan of Best Craft Organizers - Canadian eh? I have a triple stack, two double minis and two minis and I need more...
Alanna, I read your blog and I hope you get your mini soon. I know you'll love it and be hooked like I am.
I don't have a picture of mine yet but the one on the link is the one I got. This particular one fits CTMH products but they have other styles that match the SU products, as well as the lazy susan style (that I have) or wall mounted.
It did take a while to receive it but it was worth the wait!!!
i bought my inkpads by family and just use the boxes that they came in. the inkpads just stack in the box and it stands on its side. My stamping space is in my family room and I need to "hide" my stuff so these boxes just sit on a shelf in a cabinet and I can just grab the inkpads as I need them. I would love to be able to have one of those units on the wall, but I'm not the only one using this room and need to share space. I would love to have my own craft room but it's not happening right now.
Location: Just west of Spokane, WA, on the rim of a lake with a beautiful view

I also have the SU caddy, but also not that happy with it as it doesn't turn easily. I also have a wooden one mounted on the wall with adjustable shelves that my BIL made me which I really like. The only problem with that is it was made before the new SU pads came out so they don't fit. So I use it for the retired old pads, and other ink pads.

I hope I do too ;) I love that Best Craft Organizers is Canadian, and that they have great products and service.

The old wooden cassette holders are the way to go.. I have a big one and a small one (holds 48/all my craft ink pads) and I bought them for under $2.00 each at thrift stores.. and I bought two of the 48 holder ones at a Goodwill store for my mom for $2.00 each.. I am always on the lookout for them so that others who don't have one, can.. but haven't been successful in finding any lately. Pam

My dear hubby made mine for me, I want to hang my fourth one soon. He used my leftover 2" blind slats so the cost was really cheap! See them in my SCS members gallery.
I use the Ink Pad Palace from Mother Rubber. It's heavy duty cardboard, inexpensive and very versatile. I have some of the drawers too and they hold my spots, dewdrops and reinkers. I like that it fits all the different kinds of ink I have and didn't cost me a fortune.
I went to A.C. Moore, bought 4 wooden cd crates, a wooden lazy susan, and a wooden tray. Attached the crates to the lazy susan facing out and the tray on the top.
I too have the Storage Units Ink turning storage. It is four-sided, holds 15 pads on each side. My reinker bottle fits in a little drilled hole next to the pad. (I requested no hooks for the big Stampin Around wheels, I don't use those. But you could use the hooks to hang scissors or other tools and stuff).
On top I have room for other pads I use a lot like my Versamark, also my clothes pins I use to hold small items I am heat embossing, embossing buddy, etc. It really doesn't take up too too much space. And it slides under my upper cabinets easily.
I use the Ink Pad Palace from Mother Rubber too. It's Great value and gives great fleixibility especially with the drawers which you can use for all sorts. - perfect size for the SU/VersaColor etc ink spots sets too. Love it and can't do without - now have three. Still inexpensive even with high shipping costs to UK.
I have a 100-cassette rack from Kingdom.com. I can't fit my Colorbox Chalk pads - they're too thick - but every other brand of pad I have fits great. Last I knew it was $20 +$6 shipping and the service was great.
We had an old cassette storage shelf thingy that fits the SU stamp pads perfectly. I've labeled it by color families so I can find my ink. I also wrote on the stamp pads the color family. It's working out really well even with my DD and her friend using my supplies. They can find where to put them back and I can find where they put them! LOL!
You probably already know this but, make sure your SU inks are so you can read the top of them in your drawer. That keeps them upside down and the ink at the top of the pad. Storing them sideways or non-printed up will force the ink to the side or bottom of the pad and you'll think you are out of ink. I just found that one out and thought I'd share. Hope it helps...

My doesn't turn easily either, even after my demo fixed it. Putting a lazy susan under it would take up too much space. It already takes up a lot of space. I really like a $3.00 cassette holder I found at a thrift shop a lot better
Yup, I've got the SU! caddy too and the extender. I also placed a lazy susan under it because it does not turn well. I wish I didn't invest the $$ for it because it's really not all it's cracked up to be. JMHO.

I just ordered a storage unit for ink pads (showed Stampin' Up pads in the slots) from Organize More. Should be here on Monday. A bit pricey at $24, so I hope it works well.
