Default Stinky DCVW glitter paper

I ordered the DCVW Fall Glitter stack and received it last week. I have noticed a very strong, almost chemical-type, odor from it. Is this normal? This is the first time I've ordered one of the glitter stacks. I put it outside to air it out, but the odor is still pretty strong. While I love the patterns, I can't stand the stink.

I have a stack, but it doesn't smell. The problem that I have is getting it to stick. It takes a lot of adhesive for it to stick and lay flat. I do love the patterns!

I have always noticed an odor from the DCWV glitter stacks. Nice to know it wasn't just me smelling them. I saw the Christmas glitter stack yesterday at Mike's and it smells too.

I've purchased packs of that paper at AC Moore. I never noticed an odor, but will say that it doesn't fold very well, it cracks even if you score it. Also as harley91 says, it is very difficult to glue it to anything or anything to it. I've even used the sticky strip red line tape and it still comes off.

It's pretty paper, but I gave mine away. I couldn't use it.

Hmmm...I have some but I've never actually used it! I think I'll try gluing a piece with my Mono Multi glue (that stuff even held my bridal shower favor boxes together!!!)

Thanks for your responses ladies! At this point, I don't think I can use this paper, as I don't want to send a stinky card (unless it has a skunk on it). Oh, well, lesson learned. Can you recommend any other glittery patterned paper brands that don't stink?

Lori, have you tried separating a few pieces from the pad to see if they'll air out away from the pad? I'm wondering if maybe it's the padding compound they use that stinks. Sometimes that stuff is nasty...
