Default Stamping Magazines

I want to subscribe to a couple of stamping magazines, but I'm not familiar with any of them. What are your favorites? I do cards only. I'm interested in articles about color, design, techniques, etc. Thanks for sharing your experienced opinions :-)

Before you take the plunge and subscribe, I suggest that for the next couple of months you purchase a variety of stamping magazines. This way you get a feel feel of the style and content of the magazine and see which seems to fit best with your style and tastes.

Default magazine

Use your Joann, Micbael & Hobby Lobby coupons on your magazines you want to try. Make you feel less guilty about trying several kinds. Everyone loves each magazine for a different reason & also you won't always love the same title every month. I always look thru them before buying!

Often LSS's have back issues that they haven't sold in discount bins. Look there too. Also, a no-cost idea is that some libraries carry them. I would definitely do this before getting a subscription.

RubberStampMadness is a good one to look at if you like landscapes and such. Rubber Stamper is good all around. Card Maker was more beginner.

I usually get the issues of Stampers Sampler Take Ten, Papercrafts and Stamp It.

Another one I love is Paper Trends - I find it to be a very gorgeous visually displayed magazine and its a good one to take to crops for inspiration.

I quit buying them as much since I am ...well.... addicted to this place....

And, especially since the DD gallery is so amazing, uses stamps and/or supplies that I have or can substitute and doesn't feel like a big ole advertisement for whatever products they are promoting.

If I'm traveling and won't have access to the internet then I'll pick up a Stamp It and a Take 10.

I used to get many mags, but cut back after seeing all the great stuff on this site. Some of the magazines are so full of ads and the samples are all made with the products in the ads - they were just too commercial for me.

The only magazine I buy now it Take Ten from the Stampers Sampler. They usually only choose samples with good layout design and each page is usually done in a color scheme. It's spendy, but only released quarterly and is high-quality.

I subscribe to Paper Crafts and also purchase their special issues/idea books (Stamp It, Card Creations, etc - see link - http://www.papercraftsmag.com/shop/c....ihtml?idx=130)

Another good magazine is "Cards" by the poeple who make Scrapbook Trends and Paper Trends magazines - http://www.scrapbooktrendsmag.com/cards.html -- lots of great cards, but it's kind of pricey compared to other mags, so I would recommend purchasing from JoAnns or Michaels with a 40% coupon.

My final recommendations are Rubber Stamper, Take Ten and Stamper's Sampler magazines.

Paper Crafts is the one I subscribe to. It has a variety of cards and projects, and a little bit of scrapbooking, so there is a great choice.

They are very in-tune with the trendy colors and techniques and was one of the few magazines that uses SU products frequently!
