When I discovered that quite a few of my LePlume markers were dried up or funky, I decided to take the plunge last year and bought the Stampin' Up marker set AND all of the spots. I've never regretted this.

This is also what I found with many of mine, even when they were "new"....

Also, I noticed in the AUS catalogue that you can only buy the markers in sets and not individually. Does anyone know if SU are considering bringing them out for individual sale, as if you can't replace the markers individually (due to the overuse I mentioned above) then it really makes the sets a waste of money.
Cheers,
Irene
Irene,
The SU! catalogue for Canada and the U.S. sells them separately and in the big set. You are right. They SHOULD be sold separately. I would write a letter to SU! and mention this to them. Maybe it got overlooked?
I saw an empty stampin up marker case on ebay today. I'm not sure how anyone would have an empty one, unless they sold the markers separately. There were several markers for sale also. Just as an FYI.
I am hoping stampin up will come up with either an empty case that you can buy or a smaller case that will hold the new colors and the neutral ones.
I. too, use my markers every time I stamp. They were one of the first purchases I made and I do not regret it!
Happy New Year!

I have the complete set of Stampin Up markers...purchased them on eBay at a Great price awhile back as a buy it now option...they are by far the best markers for stampin...The colors are true to the cardstock colors and stampin ink pads...This is by far the best investment...
For Scrapbooking, I use only the CM markers for journaling and doing detail on the pages...
I have used other brands for both and they either faded, dried up quickly or didnot write well...they were poor quality!
Hope this helps...
Happy 2007 to Everyone!;)
Hubby and I were in Tuesday Mornings a few days ago, and they had a marker holder there made by Craft Matters. It's called a Pen Caddy. It's really cool, light weight. Made of canvase and velcro. It holds 60 pens/markers. We bought it for all of $7!!! I love a bargain!! Karen.
I would recommend buying the marker set everyday - and twice on Sunday!!
I joined a marker club to get my set - they were the longest four months of my LIFE!! Once I had the first color family, I NEEDED to have the rest!! At the time, I only had pads for 2 families, so having the markers gave me the whole range of colors. VERY versatile.
