Okay I just saw the retired accessories list. what do you guys think is up with them retiring the 12x12 cardstocks and the ink cells for the wheels. Frankly I am alittle disappointed because I just started collecting the cells for my wheels and now they are retiring them. So does anyone have a clue what is going on? I know my best friend is the demo and she is talking about giving it up because of the price increase and the retiring stuff. We live in a small area and orders aren't very much. I am going to take over if she quits but I don't know what to think of the retiring stuff.
Right now, we don't know for sure what is going to be in the catalog. Some of the items are being discontinued in their present form only. For example, the 12 x 12 paper WILL be available but not as currently packaged. At this point, it is all speculation.
With regard to the wheels, you will still be able to buy the blank cartridges and can make them any color you wish with the refills.
I think there is going to be lots of new and exciting stuff. I'm eagerly awaiting my new catalogs.
Yes, the 12 x 12 cs will still be available, but in a different configuration (maybe variety packs or something) and the ink cartridges will still be available in certain colors. (I think they are getting rid of the "less popular" colors which is no big deal because you can make your own with a blank cell and a re-inker.)
They have to make room for more GOODIES!
One thing I've learned over the last six years of SU! catalogs is that the company ALWAYS gets rid of stuff that doesn't make sense to me, but it also ALWAYS puts stuff in the new catalog that more than makes up for what went away. All the folks at SU! have the big picture--all the sales statistics, customer and demo feedback, and what-not--and it's their JOB to make sure we keep wanting to buy stuff, LOL! They are very good at it, too. Just hang on for the new catty! I'm sure we won't be disappointed!
I read in a previous thread that the new SU catty will include textured cardstock. Could it be that that is part of the configuration change of the 12 x 12 CS?

Really? I hadn't heard that. I wonder if it will be white cored like most of the texture stuff on the market, or if they'll dye it all the way through.
As for the ink cartridges, it is my understanding that they are discontinuing the colors that haven't sold very well. If you have the cartridges then there is no problem-you can still use them. If finances prevents you from purchasing the retiring cartridges you want, remember that you can always purchase an empty cartridge, a bottle of refill ink, and make your own.

Where have you found white cored textured CS? The only kind I've ever found is Bazzill and it's dyed all the way through. I'd love some with a white core for certain projects.

Really? I thought Bazzil was white core?
Try Die Cuts with a View (they make the stacks at Hobby Lobby and other craft stores) TAC also sells them in color packs as "Matchmakers"

Hmmm. I wonder where they got that from. I don't believe that was in the Stampin' Success, but I could be wrong.
Close to My Heart is white core. The say it's good for distressing with files/scratchers. It's nice, but not as nice as nice as SU for folding into cards. The idea of textured is nice since that is what Bazzill is and CTMH came out with it too-but it gives a different look to the stamps and sometimes doesn't stamp as clear. It will be interesting, my cattys have shipped according to the SU office and I can't wait for tonight. They should be here when I get off work!
