I agree, every stamper should own one.

I have 3

1 for regular ink
1 for versmark
1 for craft ink

I pay a lot for the stamps and versamark can make them sticky from it's residue, this eventually makes them all stick & need to be cleaned...

I love mine, too. So easy to keep clean -- I just pop the pads out, run under the faucet to rinse, scrub with a drop or two of dish soap, and rinse out the soap.

Has anyone used (or uses) a different stamp cleaner than the SU kind? I've been using a eco-friendly house cleaner (no bleach), and it works great for getting ink off and doesn't warp or crack the rubber - however, it sure does make the pad awfully dirty (and quickly). Maybe cause I'm stamping almost every day now.
How often do you have to clean out your stamp pad? I haven't been able to get mine out of the holder - I'm worried that I'll break something - is it easy?
thanks!

I love my SU Stampin Scrub! I had two others from Michael's and gave them away to people who had none. Only the SU one is big enough to clean my background stamps. Plus I love having the two pads. My old ones only had one for cleaning, not one for drying.

I slip the pad out to wash it when it looks really dirty. It isn't too hard, and I just hold it in running water in the kitchen sink. I press paper towels on it to dry it a bit so it isn't sopping wet, but just start using right away if I need to.

I agree that more than one might be a good idea. One for classic inks, one for craft inks, one for STAZ-On inks.

Your household cleaner may be cleaning the ink off your stamps, but I wonder if it conditions the rubber? The main enemy of rubber stamps, or so I've heard, is cracking from prolonged exposure to heat or sunlight. As much as I have spent on my stamps, I want to make sure the rubber lasts as long as possible. I think some people make a home-made rubber cleaner with Simple Green and glycerin, but I am not sure. You could google it and see. That would probably condition your stamps. Right now I just buy SU cleaner. I bought some at Michael's or AC Moore, I don't remember which, which choked me every time I sprayed it! Another one smelled like bubble gum but not in a good way! So I go the easy way. I buy SU and the refill to save money!

Yep, I tried the cheaper route for years. I finally bought the SU scrub pad last year and it was definately worth the $$. I'm not wild about the SU mist. I will probably switch over to simple green/water when this runs out. The mist dries so fast on my pad that I barely get to clean one stamp.

Default Mist and Scrubber

I definitely agree. The scrubber is my best purchase by far! Before stampin up, I had some stamps, but I had no idea you were supposed to clean the stamps after you used them. I have some permanently stained stamps, but they were not expensive ones.

If you have the newer Stampin Scrub (purchased within the last year), do not take the pads out before washing as they are just so marvelously tight. Just hand wash the pads with the case attached, blot with a clean towel and let air dry.
