I was wondering if anyone has the Stampers Sidekick program? I just got it and was wondering if there is a place to get the products list of Stampin Up in a spread sheet so it can be imported... Any advice, helps, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Ruthie
I emailed Tony and tried to call the number listed. Is there another way I can get in touch with him? My computer crashed and I lost my unlock code and am in DESPERATE need! Any help you can offer would be wonderful!
I'm looking for the latest list of products for the Fall/Winter 2008.
My computer crashed too and had to reinstall Stamper's Sidekick. I went to the site to download the latest version with any updates I might have needed and had 15 days till the trial period ran out. If you email Tony, with your contact information you can request an unlock code if you've already purchased it. You would let him know your footprint - it's a code you can find in the setup.
Good luck getting it going again.
Janice

I emailed Tony and got an unlock code that isn't wanting to stay registered. He is supposed to be getting back to me. In the meantime, there is a post out there with the Fall/Winter 2008 stuff in it. You just have to edit the titles of the columns before it will let you import it.
Let me see if I can find it for you. I have attached it to this message, I HOPE. If you talk to Tony, tell him HELP!
I'm using the trial mode currently. Anyone have some thoughts on this? Is it working for you? I sent a ton of questions to the support email. I'm looking for something to help me with Taxes next year. My Excel sheets are for the birds. I'm a computer person, and work with databases all day, some I design. I just don't want to be bothered with designing this, and if there is a working database out there I don't want to re-invent the wheel.
I also had a computer die on me from a lightning strike and lost nearly everything as I had not backed up my Stampers Sidekick file recently enough.....Tony helped me get it installed on my new Vista and also said that if I requested it on SCS I could most likely get a new product list to import instead of having to enter each item....does anyone have one for the 2009-2010 Ideabook????? It would really save me some time if you do and are willing to share..... please? Thanks, Ruthie

is stampers sidekick still around? I went to their site and it doesn't look like its been updated in a couple of years!
Does anyone still have or use this and do they like it?? Can't find much here on SCS about it?
Nothing has happened on on his website or Facebook page since September 2010 when an update was promised. This is the danger of buying software from a one man operation. Realtionships end, people get sick, jop changes don't leave enough time to keep up with it. THere doesn't seem to be enough money in it to make a living. I got burned with Page Sage Journal quite a few years back - used it several years and spent many many hours setting it up and entering all my stamps and supplies. Then the programmer and the owner split up and we never did get the promised fix to migrate our date to a Access or some other program. I decided it wasn't worth taking the chance that it would stop working when some future Windows Version came out, so I quit cold turkey.
I keep my inventory in an inventory program I bought from http://catscreativeplace.com/ - then look for Stamp Inventory & Tracking list. At least this is an excel program and you will be able to update your worksheet if you get a new version of MS Office.
I use the workshop shell I got at SUDSOL to do the invoices. It includes the product list, so when you enter an item # it imports the description, price, etc. Get that here: SUDSOL | Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing OnLine
Unfortunately this doesn't keep a database of what your customer bought, but at least we can get that information in Customer Manager!
It is a terriffic program, I did get it awhile back - my theory being that it is based in MS Access so at least there should be some way to retreive or export the date with MS products.
