I have always loved my coluzzle, and the paddle punch things, and paper punches, even tho they are "primitive" compared to the new things. But I just like to get them out once and a while and use them. I have been using alot of scraps up that I dont' use in my cricut with them. I'm going to make cards and gift bags from these things, and there are tons more of them on the table ready to finish.
A paddle punch was made by provocraft. You got a little hammer, a mat and the punches had a long handle on it. You would hit the little punch part with the hammer and punch anywhere you wanted. I have most of them, and have no plans of ever getting rid of them. You can go on ebay, they have them there. Provo discontinued them as well as the coluzzle. Shame because some people just can't afford an electronic cutting maching, or a die cutting machine and all the dies, and these were just fun to use. As I said, I use mine here and there, i just don't feel like getting out the machine when I just wanna play.

Thanks for the info. I was scratching my head trying to figure it out! I'll have to go check them out.
All your creations are so cute. I love them. I love, love, love my Coluzzle. I love punches too. I never owned the paddles because I have sensitive hearing.

Thank you, I loved creating them! Iknow what you mean about the paddle punches. I only use them when no one is home! It is kinda of a noisy tool, but great to take agression out on!
I love my Coluzzle, I don't think I will ever get rid of it!!

Thank you! I'm glad you like them. I used coluzzle for most of them. I used a paper punch for the little snowman. The paddle punch stuff didint make it in the photo! Thanks again! You could do it as well! It's easy!
@ Booklvr, if you don't mind me asking what are some of the templates you used?
Thanks for your time! Happy Halloween!

I dont mind at all! I used the following from colluzzle:
mitten
ornament
lite bulb
holly leaf
christmas tree
for the little deer and the little snowman punchie things I used a punch from McGill. Its a snoman punch that punches all the fixings for the snowman, and there were directions for making a reindeer that came with it. I just cut out a small tag for the body for him. Happy Halloween to you too!
I forgot all about my coluzzle. I think I only had one. Will have to look for it and put it to use.
I also have been pulling out some old tools. I still use some of my old punches. And I am using my decorative edged scissors more and more. Sometimes for just one small thing, it is easier to use them than get out a border punch. Plus I have so many scissors. Feels good to use them again.
And, I made a card a while ago and got out my Fiskars paper corrugator. I used to use it a lot many years ago. It was just what I needed for the bottom half of a card.

I love my new toys, but still enjoy my old ones.
I hear ya, I am done buying all the lastes and greatest, because I can always use what I have, and I enjoy using those things. I have the Cricut, but I really doh't like it much. Too much drama using it half the time, adjusting for the cuts, some don't really work, it takes up room on my table, then I have to buy new mats and all that jazz. I'm seriously thinking of selling it and all the carts too. I love my cuttlbug, and my sizzix big shot. I also have the little sizzix thingy, and I love that thing too, I use it alot. Have a good day

I love my decorative edge scissors. They are always beside me at my craft desk. I would be lost without them. I love my Corrugator too. I was using it the other day.
I have some of those paddle punches too! After doing some reorganizing, I have been looking at them again and plan to use them. More work than the punches that we have now, but man are they good for taking out some frustration! LOL!

I just wanted to let those of you know who use or plan to use your coluzzle. If you need blades for yours, since it is discontinued, Exacto makes a swivel knife now, and the replacememt blades fit the coluzzle knife. I got one and tried and was really glad it worked! Just an fyi!

Exacto also makes templates like the Coluzzle now. That's probably why they also have a swivel knife now. I've seen them at Walmart, but only in the basic shapes.

I bought some of those templates. I couldn't get them to work. I was so frustrated I took them back. Now, I know why I was using a regular Exacto knife, lol. I never thought about using my Coluzzle knife on the Coluzzle mat. Now, I want to try again.

I bought them too, and it took me a bit to get them working, but i'm patient, and i finally got it cuttting good. But i'm so glad they make a swivel knife so I can use it with coluzzle
I bought a new swivel cutter at J's.
Fiskars makes it - the style you "wear" on your finger.
But, anyway, they sell replacement blades for the swivel knife and they fit in the coluzzle.

I saw that and wondered about it, if it worked for coluzzle or not. I'll check it out. tu for the info!
Hey ladies, I just wanted to post to give my testimony. I might have every Coluzzle template ever made, and I use them every chance I get. But, last night my last remaining Coluzzle knife blade finally bit the dust. Although I had bought some Fiskars swivel blade refills a while back, I never EVER thought for one minute they would REALLY work.
Today I inserted a Fiskars blade and went to work. And I can attest that they work! No cuts on my templates, no raggedy edges. The only thing that might be a bit different than using the originals is that it kinda feels like the Fiskars blade sinks just a tiny bit deeper into the foam mat (I have mine glue-taped to a piece of thick chipboard cuz it makes it more stable). And, I did go more slowly and carefully, trying not to touch the sides of the channels as I cut.
So, bottom line: the Fiskars blades work! And if they ever start catching on the plastic, I plan to put a small bead of diamond glaze or k.i. gloo on the end of the blade where the Coluzzle blade has that little white plastic tip, as that might be all it needs to glide like the original.
Just wanted to add my voice and experience. Hope it helps someone! xoxo
