So many machines! Sizzix, Cricut, Cuttlebug, Bigshot, Ellison
There are just so many machines out there!
I just bought a Sizzix and Sidekick and am now second guessing myself after reading all the posts!
What are the advantages/disadvantages to each? Now that I have the Sizzix should I save for something else? Do they all do about the same thing? Can I use other dies in my Sizzix? If I recall another answer to a different post about die cuts, you can?!
I know what you mean Tommi! I was thinking this same thing today! I just recently bought the Sidekick. Thought I would start small since I didn't really know how much I would use it. So of course IF/when I get a bigger die cut machine, I of course want one that I can use my Sidekick Sizzlit dies in.
So we have the Sizzix, the Big Shot, the new Cuttlebug, and the up-and-coming BigKick. AGH!!!!!!!! It gives me a headache! :((
dont have any of the machines... .but i wanted to tell
you hOW CUTE your baby is

I chose the Spellbinders Wizard because I can use all of the other brands' dies plus set eyelets, dry emboss, smash bottlecaps, etc.
Kimberly
I have never even heard of the Spellbinders Wizard but it sounds cool! Smash bottlecaps...wow! I have yet to begin using eyelets as I don't know which tool to purchase to set them, brads is my first venture out!
I only have the sidekick and just bought an attachment so I can use quickcut dies in it. Also, I was at Joanns in New York and saw that the cuircuts has dies that say they can be used in the sidekick! they were 70.00
for an ABC set, with a coupon it would be around 40.00 (if you can use one I'm not sure)
My friend smashes bottle caps with her regular sizzix machine.
I do like the new computerized machines but I don't use my sidekick that much so I don't think I need them
I have to agree with Kimberly. I do have the sizzix machine and I do love it. However I also purchased the spellbinders wizard die cut machine last year and it is fantastic! It can do soooooo much more than the other machines. Smashing bottle caps is great - you can even do this at midnight without waking the family LOL. I also love using it with the fiskars texture plates for some great backgrounds. The wizard accepts any other manufacturers dies.
