but EK Success will make it right. I have had my 12" cutterpede for about a year and the other night I pulled out my ruler and it snapped off at the hinge! Luckily I still have my old Fiskars and it will do temporarily. I contacted EK SUccess and they said the ruler is too delicate and they are working on fixing it. They usually keep extra rulers but are out of stock right now, so if I send my broken cutter they will replace it. I love that cutter and am looking forward to its safe return

Ditto. I bought this 12" trimmer and just opened the package and was checking it out and the my snapped too!! So disappointed. I returned it immediately. Good luck.

I have had my cutterpede for several years and last year the ruler broke too. I have been using it by just gently pushing the broken piece over where it was broken.....I only need to do that when I cut larger than 5 1/2". Guess I will call them and order a new ruler too. Glad I saw this thread!
