Default Smelly paper

HI All, I just bought the shimmer paper at Target in the gift wrap section. I love the shimmer, love the paper and love the way it embosses with CB EF's. However, it smells like nail polish remover to me. I don't know if it got stocked with nail polish remover or if that is how it all smells. Does anyone know how to take the smell out of the paper without ruining it? Thanks so much.

Maybe put it in a ziplock bag with a dryer sheet?

OK, you made me run to smell the 2 packages I bought! LOL! I have 1 gold and 1 silver and YES!!! They DO smell a bit like nail polish remover!

Maybe we can just let them "air out" for a few days before we use them?

Does anybody else have any ideas?

OMG! Can you imagine the expressions on people's faces when they get our "smelly" cards!

Thanks! I'll try the dryer sheet idea, and just letting them air out

That or I have to give the cards to people who can't smell anything!

Maybe the paper was made with some kind of chemical. I think the dryer sheet is a great option. Otherwise baking soda is supposed to remove smells but don't think I would put it directly on the paper.

All of my DCWV packs smell. I think it the glue or whatever they use to make them shimmery and hold the glue on. Peee-yyeewww!

My friend bought some and it also smelled really bad like nail polish remover. She took it out of the package and let it air out and now it is fine.
