Default Sizzix alphabets versus Cricut versus Stamps

Okay, I'm sure you have seen my many posts about alphabets so here goes another one!

I currently have a Sizzix & Sidekick with the Funky Brush alphabet and another from Cuttlebug/Fancy Pants but I don't own the Cuttlebug or Cricut. Hope I'm not confused about Cuttlebug/Cricut. Are they 2 different things?

My new passion is of course stamps and don't own any alphabet stamps.

Before making another investment in anything alphabets (want to puchase the Sizzix Pigeon Toed Charm alphabet & eyeing the Collage alphabet stamp from SU!), I wanted to get opinions on what is more versatile.

Thanks!!

Well, since I'm an alphabet junkie . . . . I don't think you can ever go wrong with alphabet stamps. It's so easy to change the look of stamps. Plus, I think they're much more portable if you're ever wanting to go to crops.

And yes, Cuttlebug and Cricut are 2 different things (manual vs. electronic die-cutters). I own both and a Sizzix and a Sidekick -- see, total alpha junkie LOL!

All that said, since I already own most of the SU alphas, my future $$ will be going on Cuttlebug dies and a few more Cricut cartridges. None of this probably helps you though! The nice thing about the SU stamps is that they hold their value and you can always trade 'em for something you do want. Whatever you decide to do, have fun!

Tommi, it depends on what you're using them for. Cards? scrapbooks? I use my alphabet STAMPS for everything - cards, scrapbooks, etc.... I use my DIECUT alphas for scrapbooks, projects, etc., but tend NOT to use them for cards... what's your style? Everyone is different. I don't know that there is any right answer. If you were asking about stamps vs. stickers for scrapping, I would tell you stamps no problem. However, there are a few alpha stickers I still have too... Each different product definitely brings a different element to a finished product, it just depends on what you're envisioning the end result to be.
