I have the SU little tool kit that comes on the chain and it includes a distressing tool. I absolutely love it! I haven't used any of the other pieces yet. I guess I'm waiting for someone to tell me what they're really good for.

I have the tool kit on a chain from SU and just recently demoed it at a workshop. 4 people have purchased it since my demo. It not only distresses, it cuts, scores, and perfeirates causing a coupon effect. I love this tool and use it often.

I don't know what to use it for. I am giving mine away as a door prize at stamp day on Saturday (N TX). It's been sitting here since July unused.

I got mine last fall, and I love the distressing tool. I have never used the cutting, scoring, or per. blades..I find you have to be really gentle with the scoring blade, or it will cut instead of score...anyone else find that? If I would have known you could get them elsewhere, (just the distresser tool) I probably would not have gotten the whole shebang. We don't have an ACM, though. Keri

You can use the edge of your bone folder to distress! I like the way it looks better than when using the distressing tool.

The blades are in the center of that little circle and you fit your paper into one of the notches and just slide it back and forth across the paper edge until you get the look you want.

Making Memories has one that is black & looks like a mini pair of pants. I LOVE it--use it ALL the time for papers, cardstock, & photos!

There are other things you can use to distress, of course, but the circular distresser is so much easier, IMHO. I used lots of different things, but really like how easy it is to use the distresser. I'm pretty sure that the things in the SU Cutter Kit (that's what it's called, right?) are 'repackaged' Tonic items...like the guillotine trimmer is. Here's a link that shows a lot more detail about the distresser alone. And here you can see some of the other tools in the kit available individually from Tonic. That any help?

Just my two cents...I use a nail file...the cheapies that come prepackaged like 8 for a dollar. The two sides are nice because you can chose how distressed you want to make your paper.
