I use them on glass and tiles. I only have one image of the glass in my gallery, and not any of the tiles. I am sure there will be more folks who have done the same.
I've used them on tiles for coasters ... I think it was BadBev who told me about using them on tile coasters so you don't have to seal them and the tile will actually absorb water. They color really nicely on the tile. She has some beauties in her gallery!
I would be interested to hear too. I would think that just like any marker, you'll get different results depending on the brand and type of paper being used. (I was just looking at some really pretty pastel colors of Sharpies at w-mart this morning - may have to go back and get them)!
I haven't tried it but I read somewhere that you can use them to color standard silver staples! That would mean no need to buy the Making Memories colored staples...
Does that rationalize the purchase for you? It worked for me...
I bought some of these several months ago but didn't care for them, but a friend told me about using transparencies so I just started experimenting with the markers- today, actually!!! I stamped calla lillies on the transparencies with Color Box Pigment ink and embossed the images with SU clear powder and colored in the images with the sharpies and got a very pretty stained glass effect. I used ranger ink for a Snow Globe image and embossed it too. It's not quite finished, but I hope you can still see it pretty well. I'm looking forward to splaying with these some more!

Buy them! I have the 29 colour set in regular and fine point and have been very happy with them. Like most of the OPs though, I don't use them on paper. In my experience, they are fabulous for tile coasters, dominoes and acetate.
The stained glass on acetate images above are really very nice, Shelba! This never occurred to me and now I'd love to try it... may have to get the fine point Sharpies now, too... Thanks for sharing!

Why did she make things? Well, she enjoyed it, of course; it also somehow helped her remember who she was and where she came from.
I'm another one who uses them on tiles...I always heat set mine, I didn't know you didn't have too. Have also used them on glass plates, but the underneath side.
I've used them on tiles and coloring images on acetate sheets for ornaments. I also use them for marking my Coluzzle templates. I trace over each circle (or whatever shape) in a different color so it's easier to use.
