Default Scor-It Tool

Has anyone purchased and used the Scor-it tool??
It seems really neat and the pictures of some projects made with it on their website (scorit.com) are pretty awesome!!
I'd like to hear from someone who has one before I purchase one.
Thanks

Default smaller scor it

I haven't purchased one yet because I'm waiting on the new one coming out in August (I think). It's supposed to measure 6" x 9", easier for space.

Default Smaller Scor-It

I didn't realize the smaller one wasn't available yet. The website is advertising it like it is. I think I want the smaller size too. How big is the large one??

The measuring surface is 12 x 12. Then the top part where the ruler is measures 3/4".
I got in when it was on sale. I really like it. I do find that I'm using it more for scoring paper to fold it in to a card. I like making patterns on the paper with it, but haven't done that as often as I would like to.

I really like it because it makes a neat professional fold. The way it is set up is with a metal strip that you line up with the ruler and a tool that has a groove that you line up. It ends up making a small ridge in the cardstock that you can then fold over.

You may check out this new scoring tool. I used it many times on Friday for multiple scores on each card. Have the Scor-it and Scor-Pal. Prefer this one:

I just sold my big Scor-It on eBay (for $30) and I'm anxiously awaiting the smaller size to be available. I really like the Scor-It. Granted, I've never even seen the Scor-Pal in person so I have no comments... but I do see it is still the 12 x 12 size. I don't need one that big. The new smaller Scor-It will be perfect for me.

I think the smaller Scor-It is supposed to retail for $30. My local stamp store (LSS) carries the bigger one so I'm hoping they will carry this. The LSS also takes Michael's coupons so I might be able to get it for $18. (And I have $15 credit for free merchandise for filling up a punch keychain.)

I have the Scor-It and LOVE it. All of my craft groups use when they come to my house. Easy to use and wonderful scoring. The website also gives a good tip to adhere the marker so it doesn't get lost.......as mine did!

Here's a site with two suggestions about modifying the Scor-It board.
http://www.quietfiredesign.com/Insight/scor-itboard.htm

I did both to mine and am SO glad I did. One was to attach velcro dots to the top of the board and the scoring tool and the other describes how to attach a chain to the stop guide. That chain has saved me from losing the darn stop guide several times (due to my own clumsiness).

I adore my scor-it, best investment I have made since my tonic cutter, love being able to make the scores where I want them to be, not where the preset lines are. especially good for making larger sized nugget boxes and such where the measurements are different, not your normal every day sizes.

I have the Scor-It and love it - have never been sorry that I spent the money on it. I use it for all kinds of folds and its great for adding decorative elements to your cards.

For me a metal ruler and stylus works better - because if I'm not using the score blade on my trimmer it's because I need to score on the diagonal -- and 12x12 paper needs an 18 inch platform to score crossways.
