Default Scor-pal Cutting Mat and Tote Bag ~ Must Haves??

Hello All,

I am getting the scor-pal for my birthday and I soooo excited. Now I've been looking online and I see the cutting mat and tote bag. Wondering if either of those items are must haves or not necessary. Please reply with your thoughts on the "important" decision I'm trying to make.

Thanks!

I have them. I don't know if they are necessarily MUST HAVES, but I like them. The tote is nice if you think you'll be taking your Scor-Pal anywhere. There's room for a smaller paper trimmer and other supplies. I also have an extra Scor-tool in case I lose the original (or drop it and the puppy gets a hold of it). The Scor-Mat is nice because you can use one side to stamp on and the other side to cut.

I don't have the tote, but a Friend does and she loves it. I use my regular totes.
BUT, I do have the mat!!! I love, love it. It is my stamping base, cutting base....it is many boards in one package. Great working surface. Now, if it would come with a cutter I'd be in 7th heaven - LOL
Definitely get the mat - you won't regret it.

Thank you all for your replies. I was sitting here debating back and forth with the angel on the right shoulder and the devil on the left and thought I'd better check with someone who can help me justify the purchases. Now off to do some shopping....

Thanks again!!!!

I have had my Scor-Pal for a year or so and only recently got the mat and bag. I simply adore the the mat! My Scor-Pal now stays on my desk with the mat in place. It makes a great stamping surface and I love having the grid right there. I have only used the tote once but it came in very handy!

The mat - yes a definate must have! I don't care how big a space I have in which to work - I seem to always have a cluttered desk and I love to put the mat ontop of the scor-pal and use it as a work surface. If I need to score - the mat slides off easily.

As to the bag - I sent my dh the link to the website last year for Chanukah and he bought me the whole big set. So I have the bag - personally I don't use it - why? Cuz I don't go to crops or work anywhere but at home and I use the scor-pal as described above too much to put away in the bag.

Now another must have - is the score tape!! I love it! Super strong and the paper peels off so nicely without the static of the red line tape.

I love my ScorPal and I love the ScorMat too ... I was surprised at how much I like it. I think it is definitely one of my better investments. It is always sitting in the ScorPal on the top of my desk - I use it as my work space - the rest of the desk is cluttered but I try to keep the ScorPal clean of stuff, except for the paper/card I'm working on ... so in my view, the Mat is a must have!

I don't have either one, but I think the Mat is going to be a must-have for me! It's on my list for next month's purchases from Scrapbooking Alley (they have it, right? I should probably check. LOL)

I don't have and won't get the tote, because I only craft/make cards at home, so it's not a necessary thing for me personally.

I used to find myself using my Scor-Pal as a work surface and then trying to get the adhesive off of it. I decided to buy the mat so I wouldn't have that problem. It is great!

I have both. I would consider the mat a "must have" because you can use it as a work surface. I don't use the tote very much and I attend a lot of crops outside my house. I just find it easier to slip the Scor-Pal/mat into my regular rolling bag that I carry everything in.

I have both the Scor Mat and the tote. I love the mat but have never used the tote.
