according to the brochure; some items are only available until FEB 15, 2016; so, will there be other products introduced; and how will we be aware of it. I personally don't like it; years ago, we had lots of items to choose from; now, it such few select and in different segments.

It says to "watch for another batch of limited-time products coming Feb. 16!"
I wonder how many people will spend all their money to get stuff they want before Feb. 15, then will see some "must have" limited-time product they want in the Feb. 16 batch and will feel the need to spend another $50 (plus tax, plus shipping) to get it.
Stampin' Up will probably say that this is a way to make it easier for people to get what they want, buy a little now and a little later. Personally, I think it's a ploy to get people to spend a lot now and spend a lot later. But as I've mentioned before on this forum, I'm very cynical when it comes to how businesses (not just SU) boost its profits on the shoulders on its customers.
I have spent probably about 1000.00 so far and there is already a list going for next order probably when the 2/15 items become avail. I have duplicates of some SAB sets and DSP but it will make nice gifts for my friends on their birthdays!
Melissa59, in agreement; it's another way to boost their sales and tempt people; but, annoying to customers; because it's more temptation to spend more. some of us are retired and don't use credit cards for temptations; so, it annoyes me.

I'm glad there will be more to choose from as there isn't anything I want now! I was happy to hear this. All companies have to have business plans/ideas/ploys to get people to buy their items. I don't fault any company for doing so. I would be lost without SU. I love going to classes, I love their products, etc.
I'm all for any of the stamping companies doing little things to keep people interested and buying. I don't want to see any of them go under. It's a tough world out there!

How come there is no price listed for the airplane stamp?will it be discontinued after this date or will there be a price listed after the 2nd. Anyone know?

It says limited time, so I'm assuming it is available only as a gift with purchase type thing. I thought it was supposed to be available through yesterday, with a chance of being extended if there was enough product left. I also thought there was supposed to be a new batch of items today--but so far the pdf Sale-A-Bration file has not changed.
edited to add that the date for new items is not today...but FEBRUARY 16!

The items in the SAB brochure can only be added to an order if you order $50 worth of SU merchandise before shipping and handling. For every $50 you spend you can select an item from the SAB brochure.
Keep looking on ebay. I have already gotten the chic with the balloon for 10.00 and the 3 step flower for 10.00 both plus 2.00 shipping. Since there was so little that I wanted in the Occasions Cat. I thought this was a way to get those 2 sets and save money.
I was actually surprised at the larger number of SAB items. For many years after I started using SU products, there were 6 items in the SAB catalog. A moderate sized order would get me everything in the catalog. I ended up with lots of duplicates for a while.
But if I counted right, there are 8 items in the catalog that will run for the full three months, an additional three that run for half the time, and I'm sure that there will be about three for the second half as well. At any one time I could choose from 11 items. Almost double what it was "back when".
However, I'm not "hopping-up-and-down happy" about much of anything in the SAB catalog. Like Carolyn, I'm now on a VERY limited budget. It goes for very specific items that I have put on a list and still really want.
Also not excited about catty. I will not buy things I don't want just to get a stamp. I don't think many of us have money to throw away.
Perhaps SU might think about making more masculine stamps which we are always looking for, and cut back on the over abundance of Birthday related items. IMHO

They certainly aren't terribly creative with their masculine stamps, IMO. Maybe some research would be timely...to see what guys like!

Stampin' Up should do a little research on eBay to see what people are falling all over themselves to buy. The first five in the list below are at the top of my SU wish list. They are also among the stamps that fetch the highest prices on eBay:
Classic Pickups
Classic Convertibles
Antique Autos
Wild West
Dream Catcher
All Aboard (which I was lucky enough to buy new many moons ago)
What do they have in common? They are realistic images. No cutsie curley-cues. No cartoonish animals. No kids. No childish stick figures or crayon-like scrawls. They are perfect for an adult male, and exactly what I would like to see more of.
In other words this is the only way to get it right?
Go to ISO post SAB. Someone will have one for sale rather inexpensive. Also, it's nearly identical to a plane set they had about 2-3 years ago. Do an ISO for that set now, if you desire. Someone has that for sale.

..........and flower stamp sets! Lol. I refuse to buy another! They all look like something I have already.
Since it looks like I put my OC cattie "somewhere" I don't remember the name of the stamp set, but it has deer, mountains, trees etc. Very masculine...can't wait to get it and make some guy cards. I, too have way too many flowers. I should think someone at SU could put a little more thought in expanding their product line. Enough cartoony stamps, children and if I never see another Thank You set that would be fine with me.
I am not desperate for the plane, more intrigued why. When they need more masculine stamps they put the restriction on how long it will be available. As someone's said" to boost sales". Strange way to find out if people want more masculine stamps...don't you think? Lol

I went to a SU class on Thurs. We made a card with the deer set using a masked moon. I have been very drawn to that set but was't sure if I'd use it much. After making that card I'm really sold on it! I'm not home or I'd add a photo of it.
I agree about SU and all the flower sets! Over and over and they seem alike. That said I went to a different demo's class last week and she made a card with the three step flowers set. I love two/three step stamping! I loved the card! I don't need any more flower sets yet I ordered $50 worth to get that set. I will have fun with it. Also, I don't have a set like it. I had the items on my 'to buy" list so at least I didn't just order stuff to get the free set.

Excellent observation! Thanks for stating what I wasn't wise enough to put into words.
The blogs I subscribe to have been filled with cutesy, childish images, can't tell you how much I yearn for cool, realistic "non-cutesy" themes. And though I love flowers, I wish there were more realistic botanical images and more foliage stamps.
As for the SAB catalog, there is NOTHING in it that appeals to me. The airplane stamp set is the best of the lot, unfortunately I already have several airplane stamps.
