Hello, I'm looking for recommendations for a sage green ink. Preferably a permanent one. I'd like to use it as a neutral while stamping backgrounds for collages. So sort of a greenish-gray will do. It would also be great if it could be used over dried acrylic paints. Thanks very much!
There’s a colour called Peat Moss in the Archival range (it’s one of the Wendy Vecchi colours) — Archival would give you the permanence and the ability to stamp over acrylic paint. I don’t have the colour but it looks a nice grey/green on screen. I love the Distress colour Bohodiva mentioned, it’s very pretty but Distress is water-based so might not fit your needs.
Thanks, Angelnorth. I love the Archival inks! They do work very well over acrylics. I too like Distress Inks but the water thing would probably rule it out.
I live in the desert, where sage reigns everywhere. I figured it would make sense to make a color comparison of what I have (although some are no longer manufactured).
First column is Distress, second is dye, and third is pigment. Since you want it for backgrounds, it would seem to me that Distress make a lot of sense. Sorry about the shadow.

That was really nice of you to post pictures of the colours. I love the way everyone who comes to this site so frequently will go the extra mile!
Sending February hugs to everyone!
